I recently bought a new Dell G5 laptop and I wanted a second power supply so I didn't have to cart one back and forth from home to work. So, after some research, I found this one. And it's working great! I've had no problems with it and it works as well as the one that came with my laptop.

Alienware 17 R5
This charger will work for the Alienware 17 R5 in a pinch, but every time you plug it into the laptop, there is a BIOS message that the 180W is less than the original factory 240W charger that was shipped with the laptop, and it will take longer to charge and power consumption will be adjusted for the lower wattage. I plan to trade in for the higher wattage charger to have as a spare.

Just as good as OEM
So i bought this as a replacement for my alienware 14r2. It works just as well as a standard OEM charger.

Already broken
I just bought this thing. Worked for a few weeks, then refused to power on (as in the unit's green light never went on no matter where it was plugged in, and it was never able to charge my computer again). I ultimately wasted my money on this. I do not recommend anyone by this.
