Antop AT-800SBS HD Smart Panel Antenna with Smart Boost System, VHF Enhanced Amplified Indoor Outdoor TV Antenna，Support 2TVs or A Second Device

I bought this antenna after seeing a teardown review by imsaiguy on YouTube. I've been trying to pick up local channels since I noticed how good digital broadcast TV looks at my parents' house. I had tried several antennas on my Sony TV with mediocre success. After surveying the area with my spectrum analyzer, I decided my only option was to mount an antenna outside my house. When it arrived, I decided to test it inside, placing it on my coffee table to ensure it hadn't been damaged during shipping. I was shocked! Even with the amplifier turned all the way down, I picked up 43 channels! The main networks in my area come in perfectly with no display artifacts or dropouts. That’s with the antenna inside and the amplifier turned down! I might not bother installing it outside—it just isn’t necessary. If you're considering buying an antenna for broadcast TV in the US, get this one. You won’t be disappointed. The connections for the "wings" could be waterproofed better. If I move the antenna outside, I plan to use silicone caulk around the connections. This is a minor issue and not a real problem. Another small nitpick is that the cabling is black, while I bought the white antenna. This is unusual for TV coax. I might get some standard coax from a home improvement store to make it less noticeable. P.S. I'm not a paid reviewer. I bought the antenna after watching someone else's review and I'm thrilled with it. Rarely do I find a product on Amazon that I'm as pleased with.

I have tried several indoor antennas over the years with varying success. This is the most expensive I've bought but also the best. It picks up considerably more channels than I have been able to before. I tried using it with the little line filter you sometimes see suggested (purchased separately) but it worked better without it. I also checked the antenna map you can find online to turn the antenna in the best direction. Expensive but I'm completely happy with the purchase.

Like probably everybody, I first tried an ultra-cheap $10 flat antenna in the window. I'm literally 10 miles from the TV signal mountain with pretty much ALL the stations, so I just assumed that would be plenty. NOPE. Tried a bigger $25 flat. Nope. Tried a $50 Aegis 80 in the window. Better, but still getting dropouts for several important channels. FINE... I bit the bullet and sprang for this and finally, it's working well with the antenna sitting in my window facing the mountain. Getting signals 20dB strong than the Aegis, and that's without an amp on either. Ended up adding an amp to the Antop (not the one provided by Antop but a better one) because after I put on a 4-way splitter (TiVo, TV, HDHomeRun Duo, HDHomeRun Quad), that 12dB loss the Quad (6dB from two 1:4 splits) was getting was a bit much for a couple channels. Amp made everything happy. Expensive, but I'm happy getting it to work without having to climb a ladder to mount an antenna.

May 26, 2025 UPDATE - I contacted the Seller ZS Cable, I explained the issue and how the antenna failed and they offered to either replace the antenna or a full refund. I took the full refund and have already received the Amazon refund notification. I must say, even though the antenna failed after 5 to 6 months, the customer service was outstanding and I am completely satisfied with the outcome and grateful for the $165 refund. I purchased the Antop AT-800SBS HD Smart Panel Antenna about in September 2024, and had I rated it after installation and operating it for a month or two I would have gave it a 4 or 5 Star. I stated have receptions issues for the past month for a few specific local channels that originally were fine and they eventually became unwatchable. I would rescan and adjust the signal booster/amplifier and reception still sucked. I felt quite strongly the antenna was failing and just purchased a "Five Star Yagi style" antenna. OMG!!! My first scan with the new Yagi style replacement found about the same number of channels (80), but the signal strength, WITHOUT a signal booster, and quality of the overall picture was remarkable. I now get excellent reception on even the secondary channels that are known to have sketchy reception if you are too far from the broadcast antenna. Hands down, the Five Star Yagi style is best OTA antenna I have ever owned. I cut the cord 6 years about and this Yagi style is my third antenna and it just awesome and cost, $40.00, is $100 less than the Antop AT-800SBS HD Smart Panel Antenna. Don't waste your time or money on the Antop AT-800SBS HD Smart Panel Antenna .

I’ve tried several antennas since cutting the cord (cable). I wasn’t real happy with any so even went back to cable. But with cable prices going up I decided to try again and invest in a good antenna. Wow this ones a winner. Bye bye cable and now get OTA tv. I assembled this (it’s easy) hooked up did a channel scan and oh my got more channels than ever before. This antenna is great. I may add it’s in my attic (live in a HOA) which is impressive considering what it could do outside at a higher height. If you are cutting the cord you should get this antenna. Not the cheapest but the best for sure. In the end you’ll be glad you spent a little more for a quality antenna. Channels are crisp, clear and no more pixalation. I highly recommend this antenna. It works !!!

Pretty much like all other UHF HD antennas. Say 85 mile range but it is pushed to get 60 miles, which is better than a lot of antennas I've tried and thus the 3 star rating.

Best purchase we ever made! Antennae works great - no more paying for monopolized cable companies. So many local channels and streaming sites with internet.

THIS ANTENNA HAS WORKED BEAUTIFULLY. WE LIVE 60 MILES FROM NORFOLK, VA, AND WE ARE ABLE TO VIEW ALL OF THEIR LOCAL CHANNELS CLEARLY INCLUDING ABC, NBC, CBS, and PBS. THE ANTENNA IS ACTUALLY INSIDE THE HOUSE ON TOP OF A CABINET, SO WE HARDLY KNOW IT'S THERE. BEST OF ALL, IT HAS SAVED US MONEY.
