Can never go wrong with Black & Decker. Very ease saw to use. Very simple blade loading. Nice grip

Picked this up to notch out plywood for garage shelving and it has handled everything since. The four curve settings actually matter, lowest orbital for laminate so the top layer does not chip, cranked up for rough cuts in framing lumber. Bevel lock at 45 works but you need a screwdriver to loosen the shoe, no tool free adjustment here. Blade changes are quick and it came with one general purpose blade, so order a mixed pack of wood and metal blades with it. Corded does not bother me since I only cut in the garage next to an outlet. The dust blower keeps the pencil line visible, which I did not expect at this price.

I have never owned a jig saw before. I bought this to make a display for my husband's guitar and I knew it would come in use as I do a lot of furniture re-purpose projects. I did not want a large piece of equipment and wanted something safe to operate (I nearly cut my finger off while using a hedge trimmer.) I used this to cut both a large piece of wood and thinner border pieces. It cut through with no issue at all. My husband and I were both surprised at the ease of the cut and how simple it was to operate. I would trust my teenager with this tool. It is that safe and easy to use. I adjusted the speed to compare the performance. There is definitely a difference when you cut at a faster speed. The cut will be more jagged. But it cuts pretty fast, even at the slower speed. I still need to work on cutting straight. I highly recommend buying extra blades for different cuts. You will need them for smoother cuts.

I worked for Black and Decker back in the late 60’s , early 70’s. They made a good product then and appear to have continued that tradition.

Don’t cut ourselves or others off. Energy cannot be helpful or harmful. Slow down and read the signs. Take care of ourselves better.you have to do what you need and you need to be careful with your emotions.

One of the joys (or woes) of purchasing a house is the opportunity to flex your handyperson skills around the home and make improvements. I purchased this jigsaw after having a positive experience with a couple of other Black & Decker tools like the Black & Decker BDERO100 Random Orbit Sander, 5-Inch and the Black & Decker LDX120C 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver . Since we now have a basement, we wanted to install a cat door for our pet since that's where we wanted to put her litter box, and after searching around, I found that most people online recommended using a jig saw to cut out the hole for said door. Even for a novice woodworker like myself, using this jigsaw couldn't have been easier. It had more than enough power to cut through the door (hollow core, granted) while still maintaining control and a smooth, straight cut by freehand. I haven't had a chance to utilize the bevel capabilities of the jigsaw and I don't have any other similar tools to compare this item to, but I can safely say that I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I've used it since then to cut wood shims to size to balance out tables with ease as well. Great purchase!

tengo apenas 2 semanas que la compre y he hecho unos 20 cortes, la maquina se siente suave pero potente, y la perilla para realizar cortes curvos si facilita las cosas aunque no es tan facil en circulos de 10cm de diametro, se siente de buena calidad aunque tampoco tengo 1 de gama alta con cual comparar, creo que para usos ocacionales y no profesionales o industriales es una excelente herramienta
