UDI RC Tempo 2.4GHz High Speed Remote Control 17 Electric Boat (Blue)

Loads of fun, zippy and responsive. Hard to flip but if you do no problem it quickly rights itself. seems very tough. Works great in any weather even from indoors if you live right on a lake as I do or have a good view of your pool. Pretty impressive for the price. So happy with it for my 12 year old (and me) I bought a spare battery. Now the 15 year old wants one. My 86 year old neighbor took it for a spin too and had no problem with it either except for giving the controls back!

These are absolutely a blast to drive. I got 2, a blue one and a green one. My kids love driving them in our neighborhood pond and racing. They actually go faster then I thought they would. Battery time is good, about 15 minutes depending on how you drive them. We're able to run two a once so we can race and do different obstacle things at the same time with both boats. Overall awesome product. Beware of the weeds though as the rudder and prop will get tangled if you aren't careful!!!

Purchased it for girl friends son for Christmas and finally got on the lake this weekend to use it. Was a fun fast boat but the steering knob quit working after the 5th battery charge. Save your money and get a better boat.

UPDATE: Yes, the transmitter did not not work out of the box but the boat ran well with another UDI002 transmitter. Took the bad transmitter apart by loosening the screws and re-seated the control connectors. Reassembled the transmitter and tested the boat in the sink. It Worked. Ran the boat in the pond after the most recent ice melted and it ran GREAT. I think the problem may be in the on/off slide switch. After the battery was spent, i returned the boat to shore and the boat went to full speed in reverse as i was pushing the on/off slide switch to the off position. Yes, i did buy a "third" boat for the family and it worked too. Transmitter failed first time I tried to use it after the ice melted on the pond. But after the 30 day return policy of Amazon. Turned on the transmitter, placed the boat into the water and the motor went to full speed in reverse. Do I try another one?

Loved this boat at first but then it died after about 6 runs. Not sure if I'd buy it again.

These boats are awesome! I bought 7 boats for my grandsons for Christmas and they were a great hit! There was a limit of 3 but my friends ordered for me. The only problem is that the only 4 of the chargers worked and two batteries would not charge. I've just spoke with Amazon so will let you know how replacements process goes. As I read in other reviews, it is true that they only run for about 15 minuets. These little boogers are so fast. Grandkids and their daddys had a blast even though it was cold, windy and rainy. Hope the charger/batteries exchange goes well. Gayle Melton

This boat is a lot of fun out on the lake. It controls great and goes about 18mph. The transmitter is good quality. Be careful with the cabin cover though. I crashed with a proboat recoil and lost my cabin cover in the lake. Make sure to tape down your cabin cover so you don't lose it like I did. It's hard to track down another one. Also order some more batteries for more time on the lake. Just make sure to let the boat cool off for about 15 minutes before you put another battery in. You don't want to burn out the motor. I recommend this boat.

Have spent three charges (only lasts for about 8 minutes) just trying to get the trim on the rudder to work. It won't hold a straight line and slight adjustments that should correct the issue seem to send it into a spinning vortex. Thank goodness the self righting feature works as promised because this boat does not work as is out of the box. It may right the problem with more sessions devoted to working on the trim but at this point it feels more like a chore than something fun. I haven't touched it in weeks because I have better ways to enjoy my free time than fighting with a toy in 8 minute bouts and then walking back to the house, pulling of the cover, hooking the cord to the battery up to an outlet. Waiting, waiting, waiting . . . I was hoping to let my son use it but with the difficulties I have had getting it to perform the most basic of functions, I don't think that is in the cards for anytime soon. Very disappointed in a fairly expensive play thing.

Great quality! Awesome gift. Was blue when received, when I thought it was green. I would have preferred green as my family each have this boat in blue. Works with multiple boats at the same time.
