It fits, but it does take some effort to actually latch it. I'll accept that as I'm pretty sure that means it is getting a good seal.

I bought this to put on an old Hero 5 that didn't have the door when I bought it. It fits well, and I'm not having any issues so far. I use my GoPro mounted to my motorcycle helmet; I don't need it to be 100% waterproof and I'm not going to submerge it in water, so I can't speak to that. However, I have been caught in rain on my motorcycle and I had no issues.

Protected the ports from water intrusion during several hours of snorkeling, allowing me to get some amazing videos. So in that sense the product is ultimately a success, no regrets. Color doesn't match a Hero 5, however. This cover is black, unit is grey. Also much harder to open/close than the original. I didn't think it was *that* bad to open, until I found the original and was shocked at the difference.

It fit well, it held the water out when I went snorkeling, the finish was a little more glossy than the actual camera (that doesn't bother me). Would recommend.

I should have read other reviews, doesn't fit my 7 black. The door closes and passed a quick dunk test so it has that going for it. However, the door sticks out in practically every direction (is not flush anywhere), which makes fitting it into cases difficult, the first time I tried latching the door it took a lot of force to get it to close, the latch button doesn't work so the door is never locked close, and it also takes a lot of force to open the door. The cover doesn't have the same finish, which is to be expected.

Door fit perfectly on my goprohero 7 black. Side note i uave the lomited edition dusk white so the door is not the same color as my camera but it installed and works perfectly

The door functions properly when closed although I haven't tested the waterproof ability. The problem is the door pops off the hinges with the slightest nudge. The door falls off every time it's plugged in for charging. If I'm going to pay a ridiculous mark up for a piece of plastic I'd at the very least want it to work properly.

Once on this does not come off. When putting it on I got the impression it almost fit but not quite. I should have stopped. Good thing I don't use the USB ports in the hero5. I would not purchase again, I'd get the genuine one.

Complete waste of time. It almost works, it almost fits, you can almost close the door but it does not fit well enough to be of any use.

Put in on simple enough, was a tight fit now I can’t take it off

Its great.. but keep track of it.. its easy to lose.
