I've been carving pumpkins for over 40 years. Starting with regular kitchen knives as a kid, then moved on to those "kit" tools that came with the book of stencils. I found this kit last year and it was PERFECT! I always choose complicated carvings and each tool helped me achieve that. I ended up buying more kits for everyone else in the house.

Well, as you can see, they work very well. My wife decided to upgrade this year, and instead of just using exacto knives, get a full-fledged pumpkin carving kit. This is the one she chose, and she was very happy. The kids liked it, and the pumpkins came out great! The only problem we had, which I don't know anyway around, was the round tool I had to use a pointed chopstick to get the pumpkin out of it, then wash it. When you use it as a plug, the pumpkin gets stuck down inside of it. No biggie, because the rest of the tool kit was extremely well built, and did a great job. I'm sure this will last for many years, as long as we don't lose it in the attic.

I bought this kit to be able to get a bit more creative with craving pumpkins and rather spend money on something nice versus something cheap and flimsy at the grocery store. Sadly this piece broke only after a very attempts to scrape the skin the pumpkin for the first time. I ended up making due trying to use the metal piece to scrap the skin of the pumpkin, but had difficulty. I am going to try to Super Glue the piece on and hope it won't break off just as easy as it did the 1st time I tried using. Definitely a bit disappointed as I had thought this kit would be durable as it was meant to carve a pumpkin.

Not only is this a great value for decent quality pumpkin tools, I found alternate uses as an artist for other mediums so this has been a great purchase! Only complaint is the two tools that are meant to essentially skewer a cylindrical hole: they have only one open end, they aren’t hollow through, so the pumpkin bits got so stuck within only using it once and no amount of rinsing banging etc was getting it out.. I spent hours using long tools to haphazardly scrape it out tiny bit by bit, since I was worried about mold/rot if I left it. Now idk what to do with them, might try removing the metal from the wood handle? Either way the rest of the set was more than good enough so it’s still 5 stars in my book, just be warned about those two lol

It's a nice set as far as options but most of the pieces are dull. They'll work on the soft part of the pumpkin but most won't touch the skin. For the price not too bad I suppose but I still needed to use a sharp knife on most of it.

This is a pumpkin. At big kit that can be used for years to come. In a handy, high quality zippered case. Love it!

The quality of the items was excellent. All the knives were sharp, and the carving tools were excellent for carving the pumpkin it’s a great value for your money as it has everything you need.

A really great kit. The tools are useful and not cheap garbage. There are plenty of tools to satisfy the most descerning pumpkin carver. A beginner set, but a great price and quality tools.

Opened and tried to cut into pumpkin skin and tools were to dull. I would not recommend this item.
