Tervis Slider Lid Made in USA Double Walled Insulated Tumbler Travel Cup Keeps Drinks Cold & Hot, Fits 12 & 20oz Stainless Steel, Clear

I like the tervis style lid. They are durable, survive the dishwasher and don’t crack. I bought these for a few of my knock off tumblers, which needed new lids. They do fit certain off brands properly and work well. Any lid I need to replace, I will look to replace them with tervis.

When I dropped my Tervis tumbler and the lid cracked, I felt only mild annoyance. The great thing about Tervis is that I knew it would be no problem to simply replace the top, leaving my favorite tumbler in the rotation. While these tops are not as solid as the fully plastic tops for the plastic tumblers, they seal well on the stainless steel tumblers and are fairly cheap to replace. I also learned that the Tervis lids also fit another 20 oz tumbler that I had long ago manage to lose the lid to. This allowed me to put that tumbler back in circulation as well.

I recently purchased a 12oz stainless steel coffee mug for-my coffee NOT TERVIS . I loved the color so much that I did not pay as much attention to the lid as I should have. The mug recently arrived and I went to put on the lid and I realized that the lid did NOT have a slider. It was an old style lid with an open spout on the edge for sipping. I remembered reading in the reviews comments that the coffee didn’t spill out and other comments to that effect. On the product page the company stated the liquids did not “slosh around” and leak. I tried to use with lid but I felt that the company had put one over on the consumer by supplying an old style inferior lid, especially after looking on Amazon and all the companies selling a 12oz stainless steel lid supplied a slider lid for about the same price point. I really hate packing up and sending a small item like a mug back, so J went on line to search for a slider lid for my mug. Since all the companies supply the slider lid it took me a really long time until I came across a lid for Tervis 12oz and 20oz stainless steel tumblers. I decided to take a plunge and ordered this slider lid. It arrived today and was delighted that it fit perfectly!!! Yay!!! I washed the lid in hot water and soap and placed it on the mug and left it there a while just to check the fit and to make sure that it didn’t pop up. It stayed in place perfectly. I recommend this lid for use on a 12oz stainless steel mugs you may have purchased especially from the company where I purchased my mug. If there is any reason that I might want to add to, I will add an update.

Fits my 20oz metal tervis coffee tumbler perfectly as advertised. However, the slider is fairly loose & slides down when I drink my coffee. I'm hoping with time & usage, it will tighten up.

Perfect replacement

Husband dropped his metal Tervis in the driveway. A piece of the lid cracked off, breaking the seal. So I found these replacements. Thet are perfect size, work perfectly, and are dishwasher safe.

I bought this lid as a replacement for the hammer lid that my Tervis tumbler came with. One of my concerns before purchasing was whether it could be fully disassembled for cleaning, because I know how disgusting lids with moving parts can get if you can't fully disassemble them to clean and dry. But once I got it, I found that it is easy to disassemble and clean. Another reviewer complained that the slider is flat and not easy to slide. But I found the slider to be quite easy to slide. In fact, I found it to be almost too easy to slide. But it stayed closed when it was closed and stayed open when it was open, so I found it to be fully functionaly. These lids are not supposed to be leakproof, only splashproof. However, I tested by filling it with water and turning it upside-down, and the liquid stayed inside. So while I wouldn't toss it into my backpack, it's pretty close to leakproof. This is contrary to the hammer-style lid where the venting hole is always exposed even when the lid is closed. With this lid, sliding the lid close also covers the venting hole, so that's superior. Overall, other than the fact that the lid is a bit expensive ($7.99 when I purchased), I'm quite satisfied with the lid.

After months of trying to clean my five year old Tervis Lid I just chucked it and got a new one. Fit is perfect and my tumbler looks like new!
