will this unit read the automatic trans temp on a 2005 Toyota Prerunner?

I had it on a 2000 eclipse and a 1999 cavalier. It read the trans temp fine. However the MPG on both cars was off by about 10 mpg.

do you have to unplug when vehicle is not on?

I have never unplug my scan gauge but I’ll drive my vehicle at least once every two weeks I thought it automatically shut off when you turn the ignition off mine appears to do that Hope this is helpful

Will this read tire pressure? my car has a tpms light would be nice to see the actual psi in each tire.

Does the backlight stay on all the time?

There are different levels of intensity from bright to off. So if your vehicle is running then yes the backlight stays on all the time
