I wanted a wireless reversing camera to attach to my caravan following a near miss with a fence post! This has fit the brief perfectly. The camera itself appears fairly robust, it’s a little chunky but this wasn’t an issue for me. It has a built in rechargeable battery (charging cable supplied) and a simple on/off button. Ease of use… downloaded the app “safetyeye” onto my iPhone as per instructions, turned camera on, connected to camera via Wi-Fi, opened app and viola there it was on the screen. No messing, no weird connection routine. Simple and intuitive. The camera has large magnets on the bottom which gives a nice ‘secure’ feeling. I’ve stuck a magnetic plate (purchased separately) onto the back of my caravan for it to attach to. Image quality is plenty good enough and the camera has a decent viewing angle. It does better than I expected in low light conditions. The Wi-Fi range of the camera is very good. Comfortably transmits to my phone some 11m away through a van and a caravan. Overall this offered excellent value for money and works as advertised.

Overall I’m very pleased with this little camera. I bought it to use as a trailer cam to monitor how my horse is doing while travelling - and it seems great for the job. Easy set up & the app installed & worked first time. Simple on/off button - no extra bells & whistles. Super strong magnet means it hasn’t wobbled or budged in about 7 hours of travel time so far & unit construction seems strong overall. Picture isn’t super HD but is perfectly clear enough to be able to see what’s going on with confidence. I’ve not tried if after dark yet so can’t comment on it’s night vision. On my first trip it worked perfectly on 2.5 hr outward run, but then on way home picture froze then just showed white screen after 30 mins. I tried restarting app but couldn’t get my devices to reconnect. Once I’d turned the unit off & on again the picture was fine again. With hindsight I wonder if I hadn’t given it long enough to charge as it took longer than I expected to fully charge after that journey. That ‘blip’ is why I’ve given it 4* not 5 - I’m hoping it’s a blip anyway because I used it again last night on a 1hr each way trip to the beach & it worked seamlessly. If I end up with regular white screen blips I’ll update this review, but early signs are good and I’m cautiously pleased so far.

Works fine on the back of a 12ft livestock box and 12ft plant trailer from cab of pickup, probably 30+ ft. Handy for hitching up using an old pickup that doesn't have cameras. Put on top of tailgate, pointing down at drop hitch I get about 8ft notice of hitch. Obviously won't stick to an Ifor canopy with magnet. Good reversing into the doorway of sheds etc if pointed at the most likely thing you're likely to catch. Also used on backup when working in field with livestock in, just in case one of the little beggars decides to wander behind. App is okay, basic as you'd expect for a gizmo. Switch the unit on, pop it where you want it, bring up the app, tap the number at the top and it pairs. Adjust to get view required. Can flip and rotate if got unit on upside down or similar. tapping image gets rid of title bar. Obviously when you connect to it on wifi (it acts as a "server" to my way of thinking) it drops your 4G connection as phone can't do both at the same time, switches back when turn off. Unit is sturdy. Magnet is strong although would not leave it on in case it gets nicked and I go over rough tracks and moorland which might be tempting fate. Not used in wet yet, but looks okay, take it off if pressure washing or washing out at livestock marts. If using on the back of tailgate or trailer ramp, obviously take it off before you lower it - the magnet will hold it on, but the risk of it catching the ground (probabaly says more about me being a numpty). The only very minor thing is that the foam under the item is very thin, and in conjunction with the strong magnet, wears off after a little and risks scratching the vehicle, so you might want to consider some paper or something between. I don't bother (typical ratty farm vehicle).

I purchased this for the purposes of keeping an eye on my boat as I towed it. I also thought it would also act as a reversing camera. It doesn't work for either purpose ! The reception / connection between camera and phones ( I tried 2 differnt makes and a tablet) drops out continuously and picture freezes and even worse, there was a time delay to the images so impossible to use as a reversing aid,,you would hit something long before the images suggested you were close. Gutted I waisted around £80 on this. Couldn't even sell on as It just doesn't work. Camera housing is sturdy and decent quality,, but irrelevant as the product is just a gimmick that's performance makes it useless.

A review in two parts: I've tried BOTH the recommended apps and for the few seconds that the Wi-Fi signal strength is good, the camera works well but keeping the signal to my phone for more than those few seconds seems impossible. At least half the time all that's visible on my phone is a white screen with the 'guide lines' and for the majority of the rest of the time the image is either static or so 'jerky' that it makes reversing to hitch onto a trailer a complete guessing game. As for night vision, I couldn't keep it working long enough to dare to get close enough to anything to see it (if that makes sense). I'm going to persevere with it but think I've wasted my money. Update: After a bit of a think, I installed the 'safetyeye' app on my iPad ...... success!! Now I have a decent Wi-Fi connection, the camera itself is pretty good. Not as convenient to use as I'd hoped it would be using my phone but at least I have a decent sized image on my iPad. If it worked as well with my smart phone as it does with my iPad, I'd give it 5 stars

Bought to see my towball when reversing and I can. Simple to setup from app and no need to touch anything on phone (except auto rotate if you want to view landscape). If sun is very bright, it's difficult to see picture on phone) and if sun isn't bright, then it's quite dark (different phones may be able to handle this better, but my phones screen and camera work similar, so can't complain about this aspect). There's is an optional velcro/sticky fixing patch and really strong magnets (the base is slightly rubbery, so is slightly non scratch). The guidance lines are helpful but not dynamic. You can take a still photo and save to camera and you can toggle guidance lines on and off. It beats wiring up and having another screen on dashboard (I can use my existing dash stand with my phone). It came charged and with a charging lead, there is just one button to press on/off (You do have to reconnect via app each time you do so, but it takes seconds. It does take over your phones WiFi whilst on, so if you are watching a horse box you won't get normal WiFi. The orange waterproofing plug is a bit fiddly to get in, but it's easier with practice and only takes a few seconds of wiggling (not forcing!). All in all it seems a reasonable item to buy!

[EDITION] 11-2023 1 AN après l'achat, l'image est devenue rosée sur les zones sombres contact avec AMAZON et retour produit pour remboursement des 88 euros nouvel achat ce jour à 99 euros, car le produit donnait satisfaction au niveau de la liaison ( ce qui n'est pas le plus courant ) ============================================================================== J'ai longtemps cherché => j'ai trouvé le modèle parfait pour un cheval dans un van 1/ La caméra se charge et donc elle est autonome 2/ donc aucun branchement à faire 3/ magnétique elle se fixe sur la carrosserie du van 4/ amovible facilement pour pas la laisser dehors l'hiver 5/ WiFi = celà signifie de la portée, moins de coupures que le blue tooth 6/ ca peut mobiliser un vieux téléphone que vous laisserez dans la voiture , c'est ce que j'ai fait 7/ le prix (81 pour moi ) est juste en dessous de tous ces modeles à 110, 140 voire 200 euros 8/ je vous laisse juge de la copie écran et de son image recadrée

Uppfyllde mina förväntningar och var väldigt enkel att använda. Bara att installera appen Safetyeye, slå på kameran och hitta den i inställningar under wifi och bocka för. Bilden dyker upp i appen - klart! Nästa gång du slår på kameran hittar telefonen kameran direkt utan åtgärd. Mycket nöjd och det är bra bild dessutom.

Update, Juli 2023: Macht immer noch genau was sie soll und wie sie es soll. Bei unserem Gespann ist die maximale Reichweite aber erreicht. Opel Zafira mit 7 Meter langem Wohnwagen dran. Kamera muss hier innen an die hintere Scheibe. Draußen, also nur eine dünne Wand weiter, hat es dann Aussetzer. Akku hält bei uns über 5 Stunden. Hab für lange Fahrten eine Powerbank dran. Auch nach drei Jahren noch eine klare Kaufempfehlung! Update Ende. Ausgepackt, aufgeladen, App runtergeladen, Kamera erstmal an die Heckklappe gemacht. Mhh naja, schien mir zuerst doch vielleicht ein bisschen zu schwache Haftung, also damit gleich eine Testfahrt machen. Verbindung herstellen war denkbar einfach und nach der Authorisierung kam ein klares Bild. Natürlich kein HD bei der Auflösung, aber das braucht es dafür ja auch nicht. Selbst im dunkeln stellte sich heraus, dass das Bild einwandfrei ist. Auf der Straße gleich mal ein paar Schlaglöcher mitgenommen und siehe da - hab ich's mir doch nicht gedacht.. Die Kamera hält. Ein paar Tage später den Wohnwagen angekoppelt und die Kamera hinten dran. Übertragung einwandfrei. Die Entfernung von ca. 9 Metern stellte kein Problem dar. Das rangieren war super. Da man die Kamera separat anmacht überträgt sie auch die ganze Zeit das WiFi-Signal. Dadurch kann man sich auch Rückspiegel am Hänger anmachen. Sehr praktisch auf der Autobahn, vor allem mit einem Wohnwagen, der ja bekanntlich breiter als das Auto ist. Ob die Kamera wirklich 4-5 h durchhält kann ich noch nicht sagen, den Dauertest musste sie noch nicht bestehen. Nun zum contra: Wenn man das Kamerabild über das Handy holt (und genau darauf ist es ja ausgelegt), dann funktioniert keine Internetverbindung, denn man hat ja W-LAN verbunden. Also auch keine Aktualisierungen in der Nav-App zu der Zeit. Da ich ein privates und ein Diensthandy habe, nutze ich einfach beide und damit ist das Problem bei mir gelöst. Besonderes Plus: Der Preis ist ziemlich unschlagbar. Dadurch das kein Monitor dran ist und keine extra Kabel, ist es auch kostengünstiger und es ist wirklich leicht und fix installiert. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

È una valida alternativa alle retrocamere col filo poiché non comporta un ulteriore dispendio economico e manomissione del veicolo. Unico problema potrebbe essere il punto di fissaggio se c'è abbastanza spazio altrimenti andrebbe fissata alla carrozzeria e poi rismontata per ricaricarla. Io la uso come camera anteriore poiché non ho modo di vedere avanti e ho uno spazio adeguato dove installarla e rimuoverla facilmente. Ottimo prodotto nel complesso sia come qualità del video con possibilità di fare screenshot, sia come durata della batteria. Lo consiglio.

👀 Camara para múltiples usos y sin necesidad de instalación. Autonomía de unas 3 horas, con batería recargable. Ademas de servir para ver en el móvil cuando tiras marcha atrás con el remolque, camión o tu propio coche, permite hacer fotos, con solo pulsar el icono en la pantalla del móvil. La calidad es buena, muy versátil y fácil de configurar y emparejar. 👍 El funcionamiento es muy sencillo, encender la cámara, la localización del móvil, el wifi del mismo, conectar a la wifi de la cámara y abrir la aplicación, y ya se ve a pantalla completa lo que está viendo la cámara. Lleva un imán muy muy potente, con lo que es ideal para poner en el remolque, en la caravana o para un camión, facilita muchísimo el dar marcha atrás. O ver si vienen coches detrás, si no tienes visibilidad por el espejo. Por el día va perfecta, y por la noche, con la luz de marcha atrás, he dejado las fotos para que cada cual juzgue, pero muy bien. He puesto el movil en el salpicadero, en un soporte que también compré en amazon, y va perfecta. Funciona por wifi, con gran alcance, uno de los usos ha sido para vigilar a mi bebé, en una casa de dos plantas, desde la planta alta hasta los alrededores del exterior, y muy bien. Al llevar batería, es un dispositivo perfecto para la propuesta original, o para cualquier tipo de control o vigilancia ocasional sin necesidad de ningún tipo de instalación. 👎 Por ponerle una pega, la clavija de alimentación no es la de los conectores móviles, con lo que dificulta conectarla a una batería externa de móviles. Por lo demás, muy contento, con esta cámara todo terreno. 👋 Esta opinión recoge las características del producto a simple vista, y mi opinión personal en función del uso que yo le he dado.
