Q: Will this fit on the new m60u? m100u and m60u seem to have similiar or same standing platform.

Without pulling it out I'd have to say no. The m60u platform is wider. I looked hard at them when I was installing mine on my m100u. Compared it to my m60u

Q: How much does this weigh? item description on here says 5 lbs. shipping weight says 2 lbs. theres no way this can weigh that much. can anyone clarify?

I just installed one on my m60 it’s only 2lbs but be prepared to drill holes in the base of your stand . It doesn’t say that anywhere either. They could’ve made the mounting clamps a little longer and the bolt would’ve passed just below the base of the stand instead of having to drill into the base and passing the bolt thru. Good luck !
