D'Addario XT Nickel Coated Electric Strings XTE1046, 10-46, 6-String

Great strings, great sound.

IMHO still the best strings money can buy and I've tried all the top brands, they last well, feel good and sound great.

Good sound, hard wearing and resists sweat anf grime. Good general use string

Brilliant sound, amazing quality. But the High E string broke when just tuning it. Going Drop C to Drop D. I had it for around 3 days. My previous pair I had for half a decade, tuning ranging from standard to Drop A#, and they never broke. In my nearly two decades of playing guitar, specifically punk rock, I've never had a string break this fast before. beyond that, they feel amazing on the fingers and the bend creates brilliant 'in-tune' tones with good stability. I got the 11 gauge set, and they weren't too heavy at all. They felt like a lower gauge even though they weren't. All in all, be mindful of the tuning as they could break even when just tuning to a standard tuning, but the quality and sound is unmatched in my opinion.

Guitar Strings?..... everyone has a view on types of guitar strings ....especially if you're a musician. There are many types in the market place that more or less do what they are intened to do....make sound. Depending on what quality of guitar you have....the way you play ( hard...soft...etc) does need a little consideration...... if you play hard ( maybe medium to heavy guage....and if you play light and/or soft ( maybe medium to light guage) The best review I can give is...regardless of the guitar you have or the way (style) you play this strings are very well made and will give you a great sound...and if you're a seasoned player you'll know that when you put a set of new strings on your guitar... the brightness and crispness ( if there's such a thing) of the stings is so lovely to hear...especially if you're recording immediately after stringng your guitar. Whatever your music...whatever your style......." keep rocking the free world " and remember. " love kills hate stone dead " x

I wanted to switch to coated strings, as having multiple guitars it felt like standard ones didn't last very long before they were dull, meaning I just always had a couple feeling lifeless and rubbery. Switching to these has made a huge improvement. They sound and feel great and are very durable too. I've been using XTs on everything for a few years now and I don't know if I've ever broken one whilst playing. I comfortably get 3 months out of each set with them still sounding good. Unless someone can point me to something which can sound good for longer, I don't know how these can be beaten.

Have been using these on an Ash body Strat for almost ever since buying it. It came with D’Addarios on it, (coloured ball ends), when they wore out I used the Fender 250’s that came as spares in the case, but these didn’t last as long. Having used Elixir’s on several of my guitars for years, I went for those, but they were so dull they were off in 2 or 3 days. Ordered these coated D’Addario’s, (as I prefer coated strings for my skin & longevity of string life), & I was back to how it sounded from the Fender dealer, very easy to play, very expressive articulation & rock steady tuning stability with the trem’ setting. Best strings for a bright sounding Ash Strat, probably for most Strat’s. Class strings!!

D'Addario liefert mit diesen Saiten kompromisslose Perfektion, langlebig, Stimmfest und hochwertig. Ich werde nie wieder andere Saiten kaufen, auf allen meinen Gitarren sind D'Addario Saiten aufgezogen, und ich habe es noch nicht geschafft eine Saite zum reißen zu kriegen, dabei spiele ich sehr aggressive Musik mit extremen Bendings und wahnsinnigen Tremolos, wer keine Lust hat mit seinen Saiten vorsichtig umzugehen, kann hier zugreifen und die Stabilität von D'Addario genießen. Noch ein Pro ist definitiv der Players Circle, denn auf jeder Verpackung der Saiten ist ein Code den man auf der Offiziellen Website von D'Addario einlösen kann um Punkte zu sammeln, die man wiederum für neue Saiten oder andere Dinge wie Plektren einlösen kann, eine Ladung Plektren ist gerade sogar auf dem Weg zu mir. Wie gesagt, ich glaube ich habe mit D'Addario einen Neuen Händler des Vertrauens gefunden, ich hoffe diese Qualität wird aufrechterhalten.

I usually hate coated strings since I tried Elixirs, but these sound great and don't give that overly slippery feel. They also hold tuning exceptionally well, even though I'm tuned in D standard.
