Best Firestarters out there! I
I am now on my 6th box of them (I think there about 80 in each box) and have been nothing short of amazed by them. We use them for everything, such as on our two Kamado Joe grills, our Weber Kettle grill, either of the two wood burning fireplaces, motorhome camping trips for firepits and portable grills, or our firepit outside. These little gems can be lit in pretty much any weather and will stay lit. On top of that, they do not burn up quickly, which gives them time to actually ignite their surrounding materials properly (charcoal or wood). I have used many other brands and types and they seem to have any one of a multitude of issues (too many chemicals, burns too quickly, won’t stay lit, takes too long to ignite, or too little given for the price being asked), but since switching to GreenSpark I have pretty much come to the conclusion that I can stop looking for a better starter. We keep ordering them off of Amazon. My brother-in-law now uses them at his home and keeps them in his motorhome too. Thanks for such an easy and clean solution.

Not Fatwood but Costs Less and Works Well
I replaced my last box of fatwood with these to save some $$ and am happy overall, but it takes a bit more effort to 'build' the firewood up to use them. With my fatwood I could just lay the sticks over the log grate and put kindling and logs on top, but these need to be placed on top of large enough pieces of kindling with more over them so they don't fall through - not much use if they sit on the bottom of the fireplace. Very good value for the money though, and while they don't burn as long as fatwood does they do sustain a burn long enough to get the fire going.

Performed better than other reviews and answers led me to believe
I got my firestarters recently and decided to test them in my Solo Titan Stove. I failed at starting the Green Spark with a flint and steel, but I am a novice. I put one firestarter and two fistfulls Trager Cherrywood pellets in my stove that has been modified to have a quarter inch steel cloth screen in the bottom. The firestarter is easily lighted with a woodstove long neck lighter. I nudged just a few pellets over the starter. Once a few pellets were lit the spread was adequate and I was able boil 2 cups of water and immediately put on 2 more which did not fully boil but did get hot enough for tea. After that the flames and heat died down but mostly because the pellets were spent. The firestarter lasted as long as the pellets and burned up completely. I never had to fiddle with it really after it started. I am certain if I had put some twigs in I could have kept the fire going as long as I had fuel. In the future I will try putting a piece of newsprint under the Greenspark on the back of my fry pan to use flint and steel and see if I can get a light. I find newsprint easier to start but it doesn't stay lit like the firestarter. I am sure someone who is proficient with flint and steel would do much better and be perfectly happy with the GreenSpark firestarters.

Great!
These were recommended by the guy who installed our woodstove. They work great for a person who never learned the proper way to build a fire.

First time i ordered this, i got exactly the same as described and it was great. Second time around i got like 7 different packs with the piece to break your self which you cannot do by hand. You need a knife or something
