The Pinnacle of retro gaming.
I have a ton of retro handhelds, everything from modified PSP's to higher end dedicated devices like the GPD XD and Dingoo products. This has quickly become my favorite and I have caught myself playing with this more than any other console. The build quality is absolutely excellent, the way the Pi Zero integrates into the cartridge is ingenious and looks awesome. It does take AA batteries, which some may consider a fault, but it keeps the cost of the kit down and you can always modify a LiPo to fit if you want, you can also purchase rechargeable AA batteries, I recommend the buying the rechargeable AA's from Ikea, they use the same cells as Eneloop but are significantly cheaper, I get a good 4 hours of playtime out of them. The screen on this thing... Seriously, it looks excellent! Have never seen such a great screen on a retro handheld. The sole complaint I have is after showing it off, literally everyone has requested one for Xmas presents, I have had to order 3 additional kits since purchasing mine to placate my nerdy family members. Definitely worth the money.

Great product!
I have been wanting this thing forever. I saw ETAPrime review it and knew I had to have it. Although it sold out before I could grab it on multiple occasions. Finally I was able to order one. Better yet, it said it wouldn't be in stock until the 9th of Sept, and it actually shipped early. I had to wait for my ZeroW to show up, but it has and now I have it set up. I love it. It is a really great deal for the price. Mods like this would cost at least double. The quality is great, the set up is super easy. Anything you need to know is on YouTube as well, so if you aren't familiar on how Pi's work, it wouldn't hurt to do a little google search and it will show you 100% what to do.

Way better than I expected!
There are a lot of products like this in the market... but none of them are near the GPI case in terms of craftsmanship and quality. The case is amazing, I use it everyday since I got it. The quality and craftsmanship of the product is beyond what I expected, it feels more expensive (like a big-N house name product), love it and definitely buying again, actually I hope they do a wider, bigger screen (thatโs for me the only down side) version that I can throw in a better/more powerful Pi. Great Buy, definitely recommended!

Genius.
With this case + an sd card + a rpi zero w + batteries I now have a portable gameboy that can carry every game ever made up until playstation. Now that it has been out for a while there are a few different pre-made images you can choose from, so not difficult to get it set up and running and still pretty much limitless customization opportunities. So both fun to build and fun to play with the finished product. If I could suggest any improvements I would say that the cartridge the back could be slightly tighter to the case so that the power switch turns more easily (though not sure if that has been fixed since I bought this in 2019) and it would also be nice to have rechargeable batteries that could be charged through the dc jack. But I'm giving this 5 stars anyways cause it's still amazing.

Easy and clever set up
Despite some broken english in the instructions, this was an incredibly easy assembly. I found a custom "Supreme GPI" image so I didn't have to worry about the separate scripts for the screen and safe shutdown; everything was already done for me. The screen is low resolution so retropie menu text is difficult to read, but it is bright and has amazing viewing angles so games look wonderful on it. My only two complaints are the cartridge fits a little loose in the slot and there's no easy plug and play option for a rechargeable battery pack. I'm using rechargeable AA batteries, but it would be great to just have a micro USB charge port and not have to remove them to charge. D-pad is a little wobbly but doesn't seem to affect functionality. It was on backorder when I purchased it and it arrived a whole week prior to the expected ship date! Overall, very happy with this purchase and I look forward to giving it as a birthday gift to my 9-year-old son so he can experience gaming the same way I did growing up. Would buy again!

Nice quality case
It's a great case for a really portable retropie machine. Just know 8bit systems, genesis, and some fba games are about the best you can do with it. Its just the limitations of the zero. The case really is nice quality, you just need to get used to the l and r button location on the back.

yup
if you have a nostalgic view of the original gameboy, this is for you. plastic is solid, screen miles above original, open source and ready to rock. quite pleased to remember pains of AA batteries as power source. with external battery quite good. Fun device to bring back memories.

Bad video, great build quality
Would have been a great product, if it worked. Needed a C clamp on the back to clear up the picture, like the case wouldnt hold the pins on the board.

Works pretty well
This works wonderfully the screen is a tad small knew that though BUT .. when you setup your pi you may have issues with it booting .. should it come up to the login screen just take the pi back out and change it back to the autologin gui option also for the controls to skip assigning one just push and HOLD a button

Arrived but never lived.
Although it is a beautiful handheld replica, the power button is not smooth, PLUS it never worked even having followed all the provided instructions. Waited a LONG time to be sadly disappointed..
