I have used this for years and will continue to use it.
I have used this for years and will continue to use it. My wife wants the boat bottom the same color as the top. Case closed. When comparing to the coatings that others in the neighborhood use it is as good as any. As with any mottom paint you should put an extra coat just below the water line. That seems to be where the fuzzy stuff grows the fastest and it is also the part that comes out of the water when you are moving and does not get scrubbed by the water. PROS: Nice clean white color. Goes on like housepaint. Stores well. Works well. Stays on well. Can be left out of the water without damage. CONS: Costs more Slow to dry. I find that 2 days are needed before I can put it back on the trailer or shift the blocks however you can reduce that to overnight by putting plastic wrap or wax paper on the blocks or skids. This can spare you the problem of having your trailer stuck to the bottom of the boat at the ramp.

Proven antifouling paint
I have been using this paint for 23 years on a boat that is in brackish water near Chesapeake Bay. It is in the water for six months of the year. I use an ugly soft ablative paint on the very bottom but use this brighter paint color on any visible surface exposed to light. I use white on the side up to water line and transom. I use black on the outdrive. The Vivid also protects against algae better than the softer ablative bottom paints.

California formula doesn't work
Did nothing to stop heavy growth. Doesn't clean easily. Pictures show bottom paint after 6 months.

Not what we expected
It looked good after it was painted then two weeks in the water and it came out a brown color and it wouldn’t come off it was stained brown. This app won’t let me download a pic so I can’t show how horrible my vivid white paint job looks.
