ANCEL VD700 OBD2 Diagnostic Code Reader Scan Tool Fit for Volkswagen Audi VW Skoda Seat, All Functions OBD11 Scanner for VAG Vehicles with Battery Registration EPB Reset (Upgraded VD500)

Picked this up for my VWs and didn't want something requiring a login, internet, subscription or any of that junk. Just a stand alone, ready to go tool. Its not going to replace something like VCDS, but its good for most things. I uses it multiple times to get DPF info, along with other non generic OBD2 info. No freeze frame data as far as I know, which is a bummer, but for most things thats fine. It also works as a generic OBD2 reader. I was able to read codes and live data from a Duramax, which surprised me it would even have the info to tell me what the codes mean and what the data is. Would buy again, and have recommended it to others. I think its probably worth it just as a stand alone reader, let alone having the VAG specific functions too.

Worked like a charm on my 2021 Atlas. I couldn’t get anyone to reset the check engine light on my Atlas even though I had already repaired the issue. It still would have cost over 200$. Literally took 5 minutes to figure out how to use the code scanner and reset it. Paid for itself already highly recommend

Mainly purchased to be able to reset service reminder on an Audi S5 that can only be done with and OBD scanner, or by the dealer at a cost of at least $40 a visit. This scanner can also do many other functions including the parking brake motor release if changing rear pads/discs. The device needed an update first thing. Only problem was the download from the Ancel site came in a file I couldn't open. Had to contact Ancel to have them send me a ZIP file of the update that my PC could read. Once that was done, the update quickly completed. Once done, I attempted to reset the service reminder and it would not reset. I followed the rather bleak and incomplete instruction pamphlet that came with the scanner and it still would not reset. Contacted customer service and after multiple back and forths thru email (likely from China) over several days, it finally worked. There was a step I was doing based on the written instructions that was apparently not required which prevented the reset. I wrote my own instructions after that. The battery functions work well to test the condition of the battery. It's supposed to also be able to register a new battery, but again, the instructions are incomplete and sketchy. Since this is primarily a VAG scanner, it would be nice of Ancel to include better and more complete instructions geared towards VAG vehicles. Way to much guessing and/or trial and error to get it to work correctly.

Works great with my 2015 jetta

I honestly thought I'd return this because I'm cheap. But, alas, it's the coolest toy I have and I refuse to return it. Because of this I was able to fix a camshaft code and gain faith in my transmission. The only thing I haven't figured out how to do is read misfires, which my OBDlink MX+ (that I borrow from some high society chump) does quite well. There is probably a method though once I figure it out. I feel like such a pro mechanic now with my Beetle. I plan to help a friend or two who are also cheap. I love my Ancel. I'd start with something a little more simple like a dongle and maybe an app, and then step up to this. Then after that, go for a Vag-Com and tell everyone you are a mechanic and then leave really fast after you read their codes for them.

After multiple trips to dealerships, I continued to get intermittent (false) overheating alarms in my car. I plugged in the ANCELVD700, set it to read my vehicle's codes, and I started driving. Within a few miles, I got the false alert. The VD 700 scanned all the car's systems, and I was able to reset the trouble codes. The VD 700 paid for itself that trip.

This device was specific for testing my Volkswagen Passat. I was able to diagnose two problems with it reestablish the turbo in my car and diagnose a failed temperature sensor in the oil pan. This device has worked precisely as advertised. I have been able to do all the things the description said it would do, and even more. I’m connecting it to an Audi and a VW Tiguan and have no issues. Resetting oil change intervals, service intervals, releasing Electronic Parking Brake, running diagnostics on the vehicles, checking the battery, etc. I suggest downloading the PDF manual online as the instructions that come in the box are pretty weak. I would recommend this device to people who own any of the Volkswagen products.

Deze ANCEL BD500 OBD2 doet waar hij voor gemaakt is. Zeer handig in gebruik en geen gedoe met kabels of dergelijke. De adapter in de poort inpluggen installeer de app op u smartphone en maak verbinding met u Bluetooth op de smartphone en klaar scan nu wat je maar wil. Hij werkt zeer snel hij ondersteund VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat maar ook andere merken. Al geven ze wel mee dat het kan zijn dat bij andere merken kan zijn dat bepaalde functies niet aanwezig zijn.

J'ai pas mal tourné pour choisir un outil. A la base mon besoin était de reprogrammer les info pour un changement de batterie (dans le groupe VW, les info de batterie doivent être reprogrammées lors d'un chnagement pour que le BMS puisse prendre en compte ce changement dans sa stratégie de pilotage de la charge et du start and stop). L'outil est très pratique, marche bien et est "assez instinctif". Il faut de toute manière être assez au courant des architectures modernes véhicule pour savoir ce que l'on fait mais tout se passe bien. Je confirme par la même que cette outil permet la reprog des info batterie sur une seat leon 5F de 2019 ainsi que l'éffacement des codes d'erreur présent le cas échéant.

Ne fonctionne pas du tout... Lit jusqu'à l'étape 10/18 et reste là pendant une heure sans avancer... Chinoiserie à ne pas acheter. Perte d'argent
