Excellent choice for a replacement/upgrade for small practice guitar amps.
I have a Fender 15G practice amp that was seldom used because it sounded very “tinny”. This speaker really punched up the low frequencies and made it quite useable. Installation was easy, the spade connector lugs were the same size so no soldering and the mount screw locations lined right up. Impedance was correct for this application also. It’s a beefy little speaker with a huge magnet for its size. Mine had taken a hit during shipping and the mount ring was a little bent but I straighten it out with a pair of pliers and it worked just fine. Very happy with how it sounds and I’m glad to put this cool little amp back in service. I do guitar repair and it’s near my work bench in the shop but I have taken it to jam sessions and surprised other players. It has a nice rounded, full tone even with the drive turned up. Well worth the price, I’m happy I took a chance on it.

good value
Replaced 50 year old acoustic suspension full range drivers with these for practically nothing. In a small sealed box (the old Lafayette Criterion 25 ancient but solidly built .75 cubic foot) these sound so much nicer than the original. They're balanced throughout audio frequencies right up to mid treble, where they will drop off. They do lack the ability to provide detailed musicality kind of sound, so for the critical listener, I'd say definitely do not bother with these. But for casual listening, background music, or vocals these are ok. In contrast, Goldwood's 8 inch full range speaker (I have both) has slightly more bass punch audible, but at also less treble production.

Perfect Upgrade for Small Guitar Amplifier
I put one of these in a Fender Mustang LT25 guitar amp. What a difference! The sound is fuller and more balanced. Now, I can turn up the volume and the amp sounds good.

Not quite 8"
This looks like a nice speaker and has good sound. The inside box is marked, "this is a set do not separate". The description says "full range", however, the box is marked subwoofer. Sadly, it is not a full 8". It is about 1/4" short and does not fix the enclosure.

Very impressive
As a hobbyist speaker builder, always wanted to see how whizzer cones / point source react. Huh, way better than expected! Built a sealed box, apx 1 cubic foot, thinking a ported box may fair better with the lows (next build) Running a subwoofer with these, without the sub there is plenty of bass in a smaller room. Mids and highs are great, does the job. Sound stage and instrument separation are incredible! Sensitivity guessing low to mid 90's DB. The magnets are larger than expected, this is a beefy speaker for the money. Highly recommended. Delivery less than 3 days. Totally happy with these.

How Nice
I put these in an old (circa 1968) Radio Shack Criterion 77 enclosures. All speakers were not working or bad. With some adjustment for the screw holes and soldering the leads, they sound good. Good as a $500 pair, no! Good as my $200 Polks I have in another room? Better. Good as my re-speakered Bose 301s? Yes. These speakers are now in the computer room connected to a 30 year old amp and tuner. All this is low, or no tech. I have no instruments, gear, testers, resistance indicators and assorted other stuff guys like to talk about. Just my ears, that are old enough to appreciate my first Living Stereo album I bought in 1958 at the age of 16. I still have it.

I like them in an open baffle
Video doesn't sound great because phone mics are dogwater. These are good speakers from 100hz, maybe to 10k. Need tweeter for all around good sound in a mid/high application. Don't try to make a lot of bass with them, just use a subwoofer. I'm going to try to seal the back next. I've also recorded audio using them as a microphone.... not quite as good at that, but surprisingly good actually I drive them off a 100W/ch amp but they get plenty loud from a headphone amplifier at 3-4 volts very loud. Even line level from my USB interface is audible and useable.

Behaves well in a traditional folded horn bookshelf enclosure
Got a very good sound from this speaker in a traditional 11" x 22" x 11" (~2,666 cubic inch -- 1.5 cubic feet) 3/4" plywood folded horn enclosure with a cheesy 2 pole crossover (definitely not a sharp cutoff) starting at around 2KHz. No mid-range speaker. Used a plastic sealed back horn tweeter initially. Changed to a cast metal sealed back horn tweeter later, but it really made no difference that I could hear. Bass was strong enough to justify reinforcing the long side of the enclosure back and sides with a 1"x 3" oak bar solidly glued and tacked down the middle (the front is reinforced by the shelf that makes the enclosure a folded horn -- or at least "slot loaded"). Used a few bats of upholstery padding as acoustical dampening to get rid of booming. The nice thing about upholstery batting is that it stays where you put it and doesn't interfere with the speaker over time. In the end, driving this this speaker/enclosure pair with an amplifier that delivers an honest 15 watts RMS blows the socks off plastic enclosures when it comes to full range music like jazz & classical. It won't go to the chest thumping bass of club music -- the speaker is only 8" and there's no replacement for speaker diameter when it comes to shaking the room. All in all, this little speaker has the makings of a great sounding listening system.

Also alle Achtung.

Come in with good condition. Use it to replace my brand new guitar amplifier's crappy cheap speaker. What a difference it makes. Worth the money and time.

Los compré para unas puertas delanteras de mi coche, pero al colocarlo no bajaba el vidrio y los tuve que retirar, por el espacio del imán de la bocina
