Will this detect invisible fences so they can be marked?

If you can connect to the underground wire and send the “signal” through the underground “invisible” fence, then yes.

Will this work to find underground category 5e and 6+ data cables?

Yes it will as long as you connect the transmitter to the wires properly.

Can this be used on hvac equipment refig. line's that are in use?

Personally I have never tried this but I have attached the signal to a fish tape and followed it inside a plastic pipe. I see no reason why it would not work on your hvac lines.
