Good leader material

I use it as leader material for 15 lb braid, holds up pretty good for inshore saltwater and freshwater although that's probably because 20lb is overkill for bass. Abrasion resistance seems solid, when I get cut off, it's because the braid usually got nicked on something. Only issue I've had is knot tying because it's fairly stiff.

I am a fishing guide in SW Florida and I use berkley vanish exclusively. I have compared the bite ratio to regular monofilament and vanish definitely produces more fish. I use the 20lb primarily for grouper, snapper, grunt, sheepshead, snook, etc.... you will get broke off with lighter line sometimes but you get way more opportunities to get that big keeper than with heavier line. Ultimately, good price and excellent product.

I have some 9lb fluro that snaps all the time so I added this 20lb leader material and it has helped out with the snapping. I don't see buying any more 9lb fluro in my future - but this is a nice easy solution. Works well on braid too - but the knot gets a bit thick when splicing the lines.

I bought this line for a new reel , I’ll be using for larger Bass and stripers. At first I was getting frustrated because it had so much memory. So what is I did was soak it in a bucket of warm water and that solved the memory problem. I had no problem with a spool knot. It actually held better than I expected it to. Nice and tight

This is the only fishing line I use. I use this line to go around trees, through grass, and with any lure I have. Well worth the money. They offer multiple pound test lines. This line is almost invisible while in the water. My knots last longer than the lure I’m using.

Berkley Vanish 20 lb Fluorocarbon Review I’ve been really happy with the Berkley Vanish 20 lb fluorocarbon. It has good abrasion resistance and holds up well around rocks, weeds, and other structure. The line is fairly easy to work with for a 20 lb fluorocarbon and has good knot strength when tied properly. The 250-yard spool is also a good value and gives you plenty of line for multiple setups. Overall, it’s a dependable fluorocarbon for both freshwater fishing and situations where you need a little extra toughness. Good quality for the price.
