at first they feel uncomfortable, I needed to stretch the band a little bit to fit me more comfortably.. they are pretty good.. at first they seemed uncomfortable but now they seem just fine. I would say that there are ear plugs and muffs which will block sound even better, but I like the convenience of these. Small to wear, and easy to put on and remove. Plus comes with plenty of replacement plugs. the plugs look like they will last.

On plus side, these are difficult to come out of your ear and lose the plugs. The only downside that I noticed is that the surrounding brace doesn't allow you to sleep comfortably if you sleep on your side; the brace gets in the way. Great if you sleep face-up. Also ideal for other uses like flying or overall noise reduction.

They fit and work fine so far at least one pair that I've tried. will know when I get to the others. so far so good. Cuts down on the noise quite a bit to the point that it doesn't hurt now.

Warning! Very in-depth review! At my job I'm always having to put on hearing protection to do one thing, then take it off again to hear someone talking. That means this type of hearing protection (with the plastic neck thing) is pretty much the only kind I can use. The problem with these is that they go too far into your ears. Not far enough to be damaging, but far enough to be very uncomfortable. I constantly had to pull on one side or another to get some relief for a minute or two before it slid back in. It didn't help at all that the plastic was so rigid that it'd actually push them in with a pretty noticable level of force. In the end, I took matters into my own hands and wrapped tape around where the rubber tips are mounted, which effectively made them wider, and kept them from going in as far. I also used a cut-off wheel to cut small slits various spots on the plastic neck thing, causing it to lose some of it's rigidity. (I know it sounds crazy, but when it's a slow day at work what else am I gunna do with my time?) Anyway, the modifications helped, and they work pretty well now. So if you're trying to avoid paying an arm and a leg for the name-brand versions, and aren't too against modifying these, you can get some pretty good value out of them. Oh yeah, and one final note. These are actually nicer than some of the foam-tipped versions if you work in dirty areas. The foam-tipped ones can get dirty, and are almost impossible to clean, where as these are rubber, which allows you to just wipe em off with some water and they'll be good as new.

These are very painful to wear. I used a heat gun along the arch of the band to spread them out. Now they fit in my ear better and are a little more comfortable. See the before and after shots. I'm still not happy with the performance of the silicone plugs (foam would be better) I do not recommend these, or this band TYPE at all. Whenever they touch something like the collar of your shirt while wearing them the sound amplifies thru the band into your ears. Very annoying! I think I'll try the over the ear protection instead.

Real nice fit that really blocks out noise from any loud engine or power tools. My last ones were spongy and maybe reduced noise to about 50%.

Fits perfectly, I can hear my heartbeat, sound very well blocked.
