Eagle Creek No Matter What Duffel Large - Soft-Sided Travel Luggage, Red Clay, 110L

I have taken this bag on US Navy ships twice (lots of sharp and unforgiving steel corners and such) as well as put it through checked luggage on roughly 10 trips (20+ individual flights total) since I bought this bag in 2021. It's still going strong. The zipper is quality, the material is durable. The water resistance is sufficient - I've had it in the rain and nothing was wet inside, though I haven't tried truly soaking it on purpose. It fits as much if not more than a large suitcase but weighs way less. Obviously, it doesn't have wheels and it's softer than even a softside luggage as it is a BAG so it might not fit all your travel needs, but I have actually used this bag for checked luggage instead of a normal spinner suitcase ever since I bought it. Some tips: Get a TSA approved combo lock, you can lock the zippers shut. Also the two hand carry straps can double as backpack straps letting you wear the bag as a backpack, though if the bag is packed with a lot of heavy stuff, trying to backpack it will definitely hurt your shoulders as I do not think this was an intended use of those straps - there's no shoulder padding and they're not adjustable, they really aren't meant to be used as backpack straps but I mention it anyway because it works in a pinch for short movements where you need free hands. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is on the search for a quality duffle.

Perfect size for airline carry-on, even on "international" flight bins...which are a few inches smaller than U.S. airlines. I bought this especially for a week long trip to Iceland. It was my first trip there, but having researched the location for a few months...one common work of advice was to use a back that was: easy to manage (comfy to carry, dimensions), durable, and most important water-resistant. The material is a waterized nylon, so its strong, dirt wipes off easily and the bottom is waterproof. So, I was able to sit this down in the snow while waiting for the bus in between airport/city or bus-stop and excursion. I walked about .5 miles outside in a snow storm (rail, hail) and with a nice skiing jacket donned and this bag slung cross-body on my back...even packed at 30 lbs...it was very comfortable to carry. The end mounted grab handles let me easily sling it on and grab it from the tour bus luggage areas. the top handles makes it easy to transport short distances, like pulling up out of a hatchback car I rented for 2 days.

Almost exactly a year ago I purchased the Medium version of this bag. It was more than enough for a x-country train ride/excursion. The large version of the outstanding quality successfully carried A TON of clothes for a recent relocation. If you're on the fence about which size, I'll give you what I was able to pack in each Medium: 4 pairs of pants, 6 shirts, one pair of shoes (13s), 2 jackets (one packable rain and another heavy jacket) socks etc, plus enough room to take back gifts with me. No strain on zippers etc. Maybe enough room for another pair of pants and shirt if needed Large: I lost count! Seriously. 7 pairs of pants, 8 long sleeve shirts, 6 t shirts,one pair of shoes, two cold weather jackets, rain coat, ton of socks etc, etc. Even with this I had room for more. Granted it was a heavy bag (airline scale said 34+ lbs). But zero problems packing, lifting and/or carrying. Great product

Great Bag! Attractive, light weight, durable and collapses to nothing. Used on Safari in South Africa and even ran 1.5 miles through Johannesburg Airport with this bag. Checked it in Munich on way back to Chicago into cargo and came out looking new still. Plan to use in future as an extra carry on bag returning from trips to bring back shopping loot as it fits nicely inside my suitcase. Only constructive criticism is wish maybe an extra more usable pocket and that it was easier to fold down. But if you are looking for a reliable, durable duffle than this is your bag.

I love this duffel bag. It is just the right size. Not too big and bulky and not too small either. It packs away in it's own carrying case. You can fit a lot of clothes in this duffel bag and either use the shoulder strap or the two handle to carry it. It is soft sided and wipes clean easily. This is the second one that I have purchased and I am very happy with the quality, strength and durability of this bag.

I bought this bag for a 3 week safari in Africa and it was the perfect choice. I needed something light weight since we had serious weight and size limitations on the small charter flights. The bag is extremely light weight and holds a lot of clothing so it was a good candidate. I especially liked the two straps that allow you to secure the bag after it is zippered shut. If you don't fill the bag, you can decrease the size by pulling the straps tighter. The bag went through 14 flights, multiple countries and was handled by porters in camps and airports and is no worse for wear. When we got home, the bag was very dusty both inside and out from the sand and dust in the bush. I was able to wipe the bag down with a damp cloth and it looks like new.

This bag is great. Lightweight, easily fits in overhead bins, and holds a lot. It has a single compartment inside and a small zip pocket on the outside. No shoe compartment, no pen sleeves, no laptop pouch. This means that main compartment holds as much as possible for the size. I had one, it lasted 10 years and went everywhere. I eventually wore it out. I was happy to find the same one again, even though its been discontinued. Maybe Eagle Creek will see this and bring them back.

UPDATE: Eagle Creek No Matter What duffel has been awesome! I purchased in 2018 and the bag has made at least 20 cost-to-coast flights across the US, and dozens of car trips since then and has held up perfectly. I had only one incident where a plastic buckle broke - and true to the "no matter what" claim, they sent replacement buckles at no charge. Great bag, great company! With any duffel, I recommend buying a set of cinch straps to wrap around the belly of the bag once it's packed to help keep stress off of the stitching and zippers. This is a durable travel accessory, and a real-deal "no matter what" warranty. I am currently logged in to buy another, for my wife. ---my original review follows--- ---------------------------------------- Bought this to replace an old heavyweight cordura nylon bag that's been around the world a few times. That one stood up to tons of abuse and only failed when baggage handlers tore off the zipper pulls. This Eagle Creek bag seems sturdy but I suspect it's easier for baggage handlers to puncture or rip than cordura as they tend to slam things around with little regard. The "no matter what" warranty sounds awesome but if the bag fails and stuff is lost in a cargo hold someplace, it's all academic. On the positive side, It holds a surprising amount of gear and is easy to carry. I was concerned about the lack of a structured floor or wheels but after test-packing I realized how nicely this carries. It will be ok. I like the weather repellent surface. I wait to see if the material breaks down and gets cracked or powdery, I have a ski bag of similar material that did just that, rendering it unusable. This seems like higher quality. So far so good, I like the bag and have high hopes but have yet to turn it over to the airport oompa loompas. Will update as needed.

A well made, duffel with plenty of room to handle a short or longer trip. Able to be taken as carry-on or check-in baggage. High quality brand, with plenty of features. Love the packing pouch the duffel came in, it is not intended to be thrown away, however can be used as a shoe bag. Will order again.

Lo adquirí para una excursión a una isla y, aunque le cayó un aguacero, nada de los que tenía adentro se mojó. Los materiales son de excelente calidad y se ve que son muy duraderos. Tengo una maleta de la misma marca que compré hace más de 20 años y le he llevado y traído en decenas de viaje en avión y está en perfecto estado. Para mí, es la mejor marca cuando se trata de equipajes.

I have several 133 L bags from Eagle Creek and was happy to find this before a trip. When the bag arrives it is a medium sized 60 L. The description has to be changed!

Ist schon die zweite Tasche aus der Serie, die ich gekauft habe. Bin immer wieder erstaunt, wieviel da so reinpasst. Wird geliefert in einer Aufbewahrungstasche, die ich auf Reisen auch gerne mit nehme und sie mit anderen Dingen befülle.
