Great for the price!
I bought these paintsto review on The Frugal Crafter YouTube channel after several viewers asked me to. I was skeptical that paint costing less than $1 a tube would be good but I decided to give them a try anyway. I paid under $26 for the set of 30 colors. I was really impressed with these paints. I painted the leaves and donuts with them as seen on the photos. Pros: Price Pigment numbers listed on tubes Vibrant colors Paints dry down well without cracking and falling out in my palette. Paints rewet easily with the touch of a wet brush Colors lift easily *they can be good for a beginner but bad for advanced artists working in multiple layers. Cons: Some pigments used are know to be fugitive (PR83, PY1, and one of the violets) Colors are a bit opaque when used at full strength making more than 3 layers of glazes problematic. Because the colors lift well it can make glazing difficult. I would rate these as a high end student paint, more vibrant that Cotman, Van Gogh or Grumbacher Academy but not a true professional artists grade but still, it's a steal of a deal and worth every penny! Happy painting!

Beautiful set with varying opacity
I just completed my first painting with this set and I am very satisfied. The colors are vibrant, moves beautifully with water, and can also be applied thick and opaque like gouache. I squeeze out a bit from every tube and let it dry before using. I really enjoyed painting with this, and look forward to many years of use. A little goes a very long way! I bet when my three months old son gets old enough to hold a paint brush he will be using this very set :) Very glad I didn’t shell out three times the money for something with a bigger name - this is more than enough for my daily painting needs. Edit - after a few weeks of using these I am even more amazed. Combined with good paper (Arches) and decent brushes (princeton elite), I am able to paint images I was not able to achieve before. If I had only known that a good set of watercolors would make so much of a difference, I would have never wasted my time with all those cheaper sets. I mean - they’re not even cheaper by much! Actually, some of the inferior stuff is more expensive than these! This set costs less than a set of Sakura koi 48 or a Windsor Newton travel palette, but these colors are infinitely superior in performance. Of course it is because of the way I paint (heavy, heavy washes) that makes them so good. If you were using watercolor like gouache (without heavy washes, on dry paper) then maybe the difference between these and the other student grade stuff won’t be so dramatic.. but if you are truly painting WATER color, and don’t want to spend $15 on a single Daniel Smith, please do yourself a favor and get these. I am enjoying them so much and I can’t stop talking about them to all my artist friends :) Another thing - the way I use them is I get an empty palette with plastic pans, and fill the pans with every color. Then I let them sit for a day or two to dry. Then I paint. I don’t use wet paint out of the tube, because I want to achieve multiple light layers. This also eliminates waste. Edit- I really cannot believe this set is only 25 bucks! Wow!

Wonderful watercolor paints, especially for beginners!
These watercolors are great!! Espiecally for the price! The colors are nice and vibrant, and there are a lot of options to choose from, if you're not into mixing your own colors. My only complaints are that they are a tad chalky if you don't use much water, and they don't blend as easily as I would like. The substance overall is a little trickier to control than what I am used to. (Although some of these results may be due to the type of watercolor paper I use. ((140LB Strathmore cold press)) And these results are also based on my own personal opinion, so the chalkiness, for instance, may be a consistency you enjoy!) I compared them to my HWC Holbein watercolors– which I find absolutely perfect for my painting style, but they can be a bit pricey. These are very similar, but for an affordable price! If you are a beginner to watercolor, and you want to try out some quality watercolors for an affordable price, then I don't think these Shinhan watercolors will disappoint you! Just a little tip: These tubed watercolor paints can be a bit cumbersome having to constantly open and close while you're painting. You can buy a cheap watercolor pan, (you can get them for about $4 at a craft or drug store) rinse all of the paint patties out, and then put your new tubed watercolors into the clean, empty pan for easy access!

As a new artist, questioning the texture, but love the colors!
Disclosure - I am a brand new watercolor painting hobbyist. My first set of paint was Reeve's brand in the tubes so that's I all I have to compare to these ShinHan paints. Both brands I have stored in half pans. I love the vibrancy of the colors and the variety, but I didn't notice there was a pretty wide range of consistency in paints. When I transferred them to half pans, some were liquid and just poured out of the tubes and some were thick and creamy. When I use them in a well, I noticed that when some dried, they cracked and flaked and when I added water it took a bit to get the pigment to coalesce. I've also noticed that grainy texture shows up in paintings as well. For example, the other day I was working on a landscape and noticed this grainy separation in my sky. I've since run across a tutorial where a gal I follow talked about the fact that some paints have this quality naturally and some are smoother. SO I guess it's a thing and maybe just a personal preference? So far, I notice it the most in some of the blues. ANYWAY... just thought I'd mentioned it. Overall, all very usable and lovely. I will definitely use them up all the way until I can graduate to some of the more expensive brands, but for the price, it's been a worthwhile purchase.

Excellent quality watercolors
I have been painting in watercolors for years and love to use various brands. Each tube is marked with color name, color pigment information and colorfastness. Three of the thirty colors are fugitive or lower color fastness. By using an ultraviolet protective spray, you will not have to worry about that. Many brands do not rewet well. Shin Han colors are vibrant at both full-strength and thinned with water. They perform well painting on both dry paper and wet-in-wet. Included is a beautiful skin tone (Jaune Brilliant). I highly recommend this set. The cost per tube is amazing. The quality far exceeds most paints offered through Amazon. These are 7.5 ml tubes which is considered small. But this set will last a long time if they are put into a watercolor pallet with sealing top and left to dry a day or two. Then use from the palette.

Great beginner kit! Can dried chalky if not diluted enough
I’m a beginner at watercolor. I bought a palette pan on amazon to start off as a beginner and I love it. But I need to refilled some colors soon and didn’t want to spend on professional grade cause I’m no professional grade. My goal is to squeezed the tubes into half pan to dries out. This is my first time trying out tubes. After receiving this product and did a color swatch to compared to my previous palette pan. I find the colors are very vibrant comparable to my other Korean/Chinese brand watercolor I got on amazon as well. A lot of people concern is if the color dry chalky or not. As a beginner, at first I didn’t understand what that really meant. But I luck out with my first pan set cause the color was vibrant but not chalky at all. Now with this set, I have to be honest.. some of the reviewers said it’s not chalky. If you don’t water down the color and kept it highly on the pigmented side (less water dilution). When it dried, it have a very powdery look. I guess that’s what chalky might mean. I noticed if you dilute the color more like 50/50 it will definitely dried less powdery. Since the colors is so vibrant and rich. I don’t see why you need to use it more concentrated. Like I said, I’m a beginner so there’s no complaint from me with the product. You can’t beat it for the price. I haven’t got my half pan order yet so I’m not able to give my review on how the paint set/dry in the pan. Will update later if it crack/dry or dry semi tacky.

Good quality to last you through multiple palettes!
Okay so let me get this out: These are NOT the Shinhan professional watercolors, despite what the packaging says and yes, despite what reviews say. I would say this is more of their intermediate paint. Their REAL professional one is actually $100 USD for I think, 30-35 tubes. So you will definitely see a difference. HOWEVER, these are still excellent paints! As good as, if not better, than W&N Cotman. Great range and vibrancy. My only complaint is the black and white that were included, as well as the "jaune brilliant"(which is actually the white and orange mixed together. No, really) Here I have included swatches of all but the black and white paint, for obvious reasons. I've also included their pigment ingredients. After you take some time looking, you will see you can mix some of the single pigment colors to get some of the paints already in tubes. Again, I would like to call these "convenient" colors because they save you time(and paint) from mixing large swatches. Otherwise, amazing deal! P.S. Vandyke Brown and Red Ochre both being PR101? No mistake, that is what their pigment says, so form your own opinion on that.

Conforme
Ben imballato è arrivato in condizioni ottime.
