Souper Cubes 2 Cup Silicone Freezer Molds with Lids – Soup Cubes for Freezing...

Previously I would freeze stuff in old sour cream containers and such. The lid wouldn’t stay on properly. You couldn’t get the food without defrosting a lot fist. Freezer burn seemed to happen pretty quickly. I’d have no idea what was in each container. With these the lid stays on perfectly. You are able to pop the food right out with very very little remnant behind. I haven’t seen any freezer burn yet. You can kind of see what’s in the containers with the clearish lid. The construction feels solid (although careful with the bottoms because they are pliable to allow you to pop the food out). Cleanup is easy because nothing is really left behind. I got the 2 cup with the thought that each pod would be one meal. So far with what I’ve put in there (stir fry and a casserole), one pod seems to be like a meal and a third of a meal. One pod is too much for one person, but a whole pod is not enough for two people. I’m still working out the measurements, but otherwise this has changed my freezing game so my husband doesn’t have to eat the same thing all week.

First time buying Silicon Freezer cubes. The purpose of these is to freeze foods, remove from cube once frozen, then store in Baggie. Great idea! Saves space, easy to use, and encourages simple meal planning. I am happy with purchase.

I have been using these cubes quite a bit lately. I love that I can freeze left overs in a neat way to not take up much space. I seem to be cooking for myself lately as my kids will often have other things to do. This makes it easy so the food doesn't go to waste. The frozen food comes out easily. The shape makes it easy to store and reheat. I did cook an egg dish and a casserole in the larger ones and they worked perfectly. My only problem with them is that they are difficult to store. I do not have a lot of space in my kitchen so I had to put them in the basement pantry. They do not fit into each other taking up lesser space.

I grew up in a large family, and I truly only know how to cook for 4+ people at a time. That's great until your nest is empty and you are suddenly cooking for one, and HATE wasting food. I mean, my neighbors appreciate me sharing meals with them, but there is a whole new world out there because of these cubes! The Souper Cubes are the best method of frozen food storage I have ever used! The silicone is of excellent quality and there is an internal metal frame that prevents these trays from collapsing when filled, They can even be stacked upon each other when placing in the freezer. They completely hold their shape no matter what you put in them and when you stack them! Absolutely no sagging, drooping, or spilling trays - which believe me, I have experienced with other brands. I have purchased the 2-cup and 1 cup trays and I love them! So far I have used them for soups, my homemade bone broth, casserole servings, sauces, baby corn breads, spaghetti sauce, and even mini meatloaves. Once frozen, I pop them out and store them in 1 Gallon Freezer storage bags that I label so I can reuse the trays. TIPS: 1. Don't overfill past the line or they won't all fit neatly into the 1-Gallon Freezer Bags. 2. I fill them directly on a cookie sheet and then put the whole cookie sheet in the deep freeze. This is the easiest mathod I have found - once they are frozem, I pre-label ziplock gallon bags and put the cubes in them to thaw and use as needed. 3. I have a couple of friends who struggled to get their food out - I just set it out for a few minutes and then push up from the bottom of the tray and presto! 4. Don't pick up from the bottom unless frozen, as the silicone is pliable and you WILL have a mess. This is the chief reason I use the cookie sheet method. This has really leveled up my meal prep and empty nest cooking game. I tried a cheaper model but the lids were a DISASTER. Flimsy is not your friend.

I have been vacuum sealing food at home for over 20 years. I'm on my second FoodSaver machine. I cook 2-3 times a year and the rest of the time I just boil the bags to heat them up. No mess, dinner is ready in about 20 minutes and best of all I know exactly what's in my food. (by the way I buy everything organic, non-GMO and I eat for less than $60/week and that includes fresh items like eggs and fruits and I always have fresh chocolate chip cookie dough ... vacuum sealing is very economical and healthy) . For sure the days when I cook there is a huge mess. Making 30 mini meatloafs to go with 40 pounds of mashed potatoes while also cooking 3 gallons of minestrone, two lasagnas, 20 servings of Chicken Marsala, 2 gallons of veggie chili ... you get the picture. But I'll gladly suffer a weekend filled with dishwashing and cooking for 4-5 months of easy meals! These nifty Souper Cubes have changed my life :) The 2-cup size fits perfectly in the FoodSaver 8" sized roll. This cut my freezing labor by more than 80% ... literally. It used to take me at least 90 minutes to vacuum seal any batch of soup. And it was a MESS ... soup does not want to be spooned into bags and does not want to stay there. Using these Souper Cubes took less than 20 minutes and most of that time was spent waiting for the machine to finish vacuuming. And best of all NO MESS ... YAY! I just filled the cubes and popped them in the freezer overnight. Viola! More good news ... these turn my soup into perfectly stackable bricks which means I can fit more in the freezers. And they solved my frozen Mac & Cheese problem. If you've ever tried to freeze homemade Mac&Cheese you know what I'm talking about. I have no idea where the cheese goes ... probably the same place my socks go in the laundry ... but every time has resulted in reheated noodles with only the tiniest hint of cheese. But with the 1-cup size I freeze the cheese sauce separate from the noodles. I put a bunch of noodles in the Foodsaver bag and then drop in a cube of frozen cheese sauce. Then when I reheat it makes a creamy Mac. Highly recommend these for anyone that vacuum seals.

I thought that with the lid and 2 sides I could store different things in each without spill over. Only with very carefully placing into freezer because the lid does not seal the 2 sides so, if you're using this to store 2 of the same meals or don't care about them mixing it works well enough. If you want to keep things individual, go with a single cube. If each side was sealed as separate by the lid I would give it 5 stars.

These work great for freezing food. There's a metal frame that helps them stay upright. I've used them several times and the food comes out easily and they wash up well. The lid seems to attract the moisture so when I take the frozen soup, or whatever, out, there's no freezer burn on the product that I'm going to put in resealable bags. All good.

I no longer buy TV dinners! I now make crock pot meals (or leftovers) and freeze them in individual portions in my Super Cubes trays. No more OD eating the same meal for a week or spoiling in the frig. They make meal prep very easy for lunches. I use the 1/2 cup, cup & now the 2 cup versions. The frozen food is very easy to squeeze out of the silicone tray & the trays are very sturdy. Happy purchase!

Great soup holders! Bought these as space savers for the freezer and they work really well. Holds 1 massive bowl of soup in each compartment, or two decent sized bowls. Really easy to remove the soup when frozen, just push the cubes out. Also easy to clean, just stick them in the dishwasher, so easy! I’ve used them quite a few times now and no signs of wear and tear, a great purchase.
