Very well made, nice length to extend and/or protect a laptop USB port. Didn't quite work out the way I wanted it to, but nothing to do with the product itself, it is excellent, and works fine. If you need a short USB-A extension, this is a great product for the price!

I attempted to order several different cable to fit underneath the Huano HNDS6 Monitor Mounts. This was one of the only ones located that was long enough that qualified that I could find. Design: The Blue Shell provides protection for the cable and is sturdy. When I attempted to house it in the bottom of the monitor stand it protruded from the front. Works appropriately when connected to the main computer. Item functions as intended but is not recommended if you want it to sit flush under the HNDS6.

My monitor has a built in USB hub but all the ports are on the back making it a pain to plug anything in. With these I can just reach behind, grab one, and plug something in to it. They're short and stiff enough that when nothing is plugged in they don't dangle beneath the bottom, keeping aesthetic clutter to a minimum. I was a little worried that the plastic extending around the female end before I ordered; I thought it might prevent some devices from being fully plugged in. I am happy to report however that I have had no issues plugging in any USB drives or other devices. In addition do being as advertised and working correctly, it is definitely constructed a step above your average cable. The plastic molding on the ends is thick and feels well made. The female end especially would provide good resistance to being stepped on over other extension cables with bare ends. This isn't of concern to me, but it's good to feel like the product is robust. In addition to the ends the cable its self seems sturdy and thicker than most "cheap" cables. I would, however, expect this cable to be well made, and this brings me to my only con: the price. At the time of purchase this cable costs slightly more than a 10 foot Amazon Basics USB 3.0 extension cable. When you consider this cable cost more than one 20 times longer, the price seems a little high. On the other hand, I'm sure 6" USB cables are in a much lower demand than more typical lengths so the price is somewhat excusable. In the end it's a matter of a few dollars, though, so I don't consider it a big deal. I bought one to see if it fit my needs, and purchased two more when I decided it did.

This works well to extend

Good product. I find that StarTech products are made well and this one is no exception. The rubber/plastic feels solid, not like the cheaper ones that crack after minimal use. Is a great way to get some extra room for your wires and connectors.

I needed a small pigtail so that I could leave this item plugged in to my car. The item I have plugged into it or something that I need to unplug fairly often. I wanted this pigtail to take the beating and not my cars USB port. The idea was to leave this plugged into my port and unplug from the back of this instead of from the car port. The issue is I needed a high quality item. I am using this for a car computer that cannot be plugged in when I am on base. So every time I drive up to the security gate I need to unplug it. But if it's low quality signal, the car computer will not work. This particular brand of product is used by department of defense IT computers. I have known it to be a high quality item so I spent the extra money to buy this version versus some of the cheaper offerings that Amazon has and I wasn't disappointed. This thing is fantastic and it's working as I intended. I feel comfortable recommending this brand of cables all around to anyone as they have never failed on me even when abused.

I actually have 2 of these now, 1 from Amazon and another from Intrex. Turns out these suckers can be hard to find in stores because everyone is buying them. Most computers sold now have USB 3, but put the ports in the back of the computer. Most uses for USB 3 ports are used for portable HDs and Flash drives which make the ports being on the back a pain in the arse. However the prevalence of USB 3 devices in general is still low, so a USB 3 hub is usually not what people need. When I couldn't find a USB 3 extension cable in the stores I went with a hub from Best Buy, but apparently people had the same thought as I did, namely, get a small hub since USB 3 device cables are not hard to get, and you would expect a hub to come with one. Well all the 4 port hubs were sold out, so I got the Rocketfush 7 port USB 3 hub. Turns out that while the hub is designed more for desktop than notebook, it only comes with a freakin pigtail USB cable hard-wired into the hub. So, not much help. I still have it, connected to the Amazon extension cable, but so far don't have much use for it.

Very handy and a good ptice

Rallonge de très bonne qualité. Pas de perte de débit (vers une imprimante faut dire que ca ne consomme pas trop!)

Compre 2 unidades, uno para la TV , ver pelis, fotos y videos. otro para el ordenador de mesa, pasar documentos... y funcionan muy bien... muy rápido, que era lo que realmente me interesaba, se les ve robustos, solidos, de muy buena calidad. Estoy muy contento con la compra. Llegaron en perfectas condiciones y estado.
