Electric Mr. Pea Sheller

Save us several hours, every pick!

I have been looking for a good sheller for awhile! This sheller is the best thing I have purchased in a long time! It took me 7 hours to shell peas by hand and didn't get many bags. We picked peas and used this sheller it took about 1 hour and 1/2 to shell 21 quarts I just finished and put up! Well made! Very pleased with this purchase well worth the money because of the time it saves me. Very easy to use!

This was the first year that I have grown alot of dry beans. I grew yin yang beans, and jacobs cattle bean. Spent hours shelling by hand for just a couple of jars full. I knew I couldn't justify spending that much time for beans ( literally). I went out on a limb and spent the money, I've had the sheller for about a week now. It takes about 15 minutes to do what it took me an hour or more by hand. Price was in the middle, between the cheap looking hand crank sheller, and some of the more expensive brands. The unit does get jammed sometimes and you have to shut it down and remove the blocked bean...not a huge deal. Time will tell how well made it is, but I expect (hope) as per other reviews that it will last quite a long time.

I bought this sheller for my Dad. I chose it because it was priced in the middle of all the shellers. It works great, he is using it all the time.

This Sheller worked great at first , I shelled 4-5 bushels of pink eye purple hull peas with in 2 days . I cleaned the Sheller very well and stored inside , 4 days later attempted to shell a bushel of PPH peas and it wouldn’t pull the peas through the rollers and started making a loud noise like the belt or pulley was rubbing the guard so I removed the guard and yes the belt was extremely loose so I adjusted it , put the guard back on , the noise continued and it still wouldn’t pull the peas through the rollers . I reached out to the seller asking about the problems I was having and could they offer any suggestions…this where I’m really having a problem with the seller . I haven’t heard back from them . 4 bushels of peas and the Sheller doesn’t work , no response from the seller , it’s now going to cost me to send this back . This is why reviews are important .
