No when looking at it you cannot tell alcohol is in it. And, I'm not sure it would need to be taken off. However, if it is picked up, the weight will be different and sometimes you can hear a little 'slushing'. Also, if the alcohol has been chilled (white wine) the bracelet is cold to the touch.
