Is this lens good in low light?

No to be blunt. This is about as far from low light as you want to go, you'll need a high ISO, long shutter speed to utilize this in available with light without a flash. You're better off getting a prime 35 1.8G or 50 1.8G. Still cost effective and provides you with qualify glass. If you MUST have a zoom lens I would save up for a Sigma 70-200M 2.8 used lens.

does this have IF along with the AF?

No, this version of the 55-200mm does not feature internal focusing (IF). There is a VR version (Vibration Reduction) that does feature IF (http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-55-200mm-4-5-6G-Vibration-Reduction/dp/B000O161X0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1361140007&sr=8-2&keywords=Nikon+55-200mm+f4-5.6G+ED+AF-S+DX+Nikkor+Zoom+Lens)

Can this be used to shoot a wedding? I have a nikon d3100 with a 1.8g and 18-55 lens.i need a cheap wedding lens(amature)

I am an amateur also so take my opinion for what it is worth. I used this lens for a 50th anniversary party and I didn't like it .... That's why I returned it. You cannot take pictures of subjects that are relatively close to you because the zoom is to great .... You need to be back like 25 feet in order to take a normal picture you can take with your 18-55 lens. I missed a lot of pictures because of that. To see what I mean, take your current lens and zoom it all the way in and see how things and subjects are framed that are close to you. If you want to take portraits of people close to you you will have a difficult time with it.
