Scarpa Vortex XCR Gore-TEX Trail Walking Shoe

Great fit and very comfortable. Will buy again when I wear these out

These are good, very good. Have left it 6 months before writing a review as generally I have gone through a set of trainers / shoes in this time. The soles on these are hardly scuffed, they wear very well and definitely worth the price. Good grip, even in the wet on uneven surfaces, have used for general day to day use, hiking, bike riding etc. Give them an occasional wipe down and waterproof treatment and they won't let you down.

Had these shoes before so I new what to expect, a first class walking shoe that is so comfortable I'll never buy any other. Wore my first pair nearly everyday for 3 years. You will have to water proof them over that time as you would with any walking footwear I would also push my foot in without undoing the laces, they've had some right stick. Bit expensive but shop around .there worth it.

Used to be a great long lasting trainer. The last pair I bought for about £135 didn’t last 2 years with very light use. The sole compound has changed and isn’t anywhere near as long wearing. Now available for £175. Not a chance.

My first try of Scarpa shoes (usually go for Merrells - although always use Scarpa boots!). First impressions = brilliant, they are very comfortable, supportive and reasonably priced (via some of the Amazon traders). Not done excessive miles in them yet, but if they hold up as well as their boots then that's good enough for me.

Well made and just about fit. However if you order a UK 13(49) you actually get a 12.5(48). This is the biggest size in this model. Scarpa boots are available in sizes up to 14 (50). Given time, these will probably stretch. I’ve only worn them for short walks as a result which obviously extends the break in period. Look forward to giving them a good work out.

I have had Scarpa, boots and shoes before, so I was confident they would be comfortable and properly waterproof. I wasn't disappointed. They are robust and stylish, with good grip from the Vibram sole. Not cheap, but worth the money.
