Yes it's beautiful to use. Ordinarily with wood handles, even hickory handles often you find your hand slips off and could be tempted to rubberised handles. This is shaped excellently so there is no problem with slip. It's head is shaped well to split logs so,it opens them up rather than getting stuck like many less wedge shaped axes can.

Does it come with a sheath please?

Mine came with a small blade protection sheath. Genuine leather, nothing less :).Alex

What's the quality of this axe, in terms of the glue used to hold the hatchet head in place?
