Tanita makes a great scale and I've used them for years in a commercial kitchen. This model only weighs in kilos and grams which was not made clear in the description.

Disappointed, no AC Adapter
Despite the product's description stating AC or battery, it is only set up for batteries. And also despite this being the exact same model as we have used for years.

So far very impressive.
I have used this for a couple of weeks, and thus far I'm quite happy with it. It's a sturdy, heavy product. The buttons are immediately and reliably responsive (last scales I had they would often not respond so you'd have to keep pressing until they did, really annoying when you're busy). Note that it only works in 5g increments. This might seem like a problem but for a large scale it's probably best because you'll never get true 1g accuracy on something this large. I recommend this product, it seems to be worth the money.

accurate to company spec and the height makes it easy to read the scale.
quite good...accuracy as stated...stable...the additional height makes it easier to read the scale even if you put a large box. the top is stainless but the body is made of plastic. Japanese company but "made in china". I think they are being conservative with accuracy unlike other companies that states more accurate measurements. in JP, you can get proper service from the manufacturer...not sure for other countries.
