My kitty likes this one and it seems to help him.
This brand / flavor has been my kitty's particular favorite for years, now. I'm not especially happy that you need to have a veterinarian's prescription in order to purchase these but, other than that the only other 'less than great' thin is the rather steep price. I have actually just taken sirloin and/or chicken breast and blended that up for my little guy, before... it is cheaper. Unfortunately, he doesn't necessarily prefer the steak or chicken breasts like that... and I know that they need the taurine in their diet, as well. This is the best food I have found on the market for my kitty, so far.

Good for male urinary issues
Long story short, my one-year-old discovered the cat’s water bowl and turned it into her new favorite activity. I had to move the water across the kitchen to keep it out of reach, which didn’t go over well with my cat. He basically went on strike and refused to drink like he normally would, which led to urinary crystals and a very expensive vet visit. After that, I switched him to this food to help support his urinary health, and it’s made a noticeable difference. His urinary pH has improved, and he’s back to using the litter box normally, which was the main goal. He also actually likes it, which is not always a given with this kind of food. As a bonus, he’s lost a little bit of weight, which is a good thing because he was a full unit and could stand to slim down a bit. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in his coat, but for me the urinary support alone makes this worth it. After everything we dealt with, I’m sticking with this.

A good compromise between prescription and regular
My cat was diagnosed with severe cystitis about a year ago but I couldn’t afford to put him and my second cat on prescription wet food when they eat from each others bowls. I tried the purina urinary first, and didn’t notice symptom improvement. I’ve noticed a big difference with the Hills. The Hills seems to also have a lot more moisture, and the cats prefer the flavor. My cat’s biggest issue was peeing outside the box due to pain, and that has decreased significantly. His labs and urinalysis have also gone back to completely normal. It is more expensive than some of the competitors, but it is more effective, and still less expensive than prescription. I’ve also switched my cats to the Hills urinary hairball kibble, and their tummies have been comfortable and happy.

Great in combination with dry of the same brand and line
If you care of your cat dont save on their food. Natural ingredients no taste additives and bunch of supplements cats must consume daily. Was hard to feed at first, while switching from fancy feast. Now he eats it well alternating with the same line dry food. He stopped throwing up. Dry and wet must be the same line for every cat food. If you care of your cats lifespan use premium food especially ones they turn 5 years old. Cats kidneys are very very very bad regardless of breed. And a lot of cats also start having sensitive stomach after age 3

Cat Loved It!
I have a very particular cat. Well, I guess all cats are particular - especially when it comes to what foods that they eat. My little King became ill and I was told before that kidney disease is the "silent killer" when it comes to cats. As it turned out, my previous 15 year old cat had kidney disease and died in my arms. Enough of that, when my little fur baby got sick, I worried about his urinary health. So, I bought a case of this food to get him through. Guess what? Mr. Picky loved it AND he is - literally - going through zoomies as I write this review. I DO wish it was a bit cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for. It was good cat food, seemed to be high with nutrition, did not cause diarrhea, and was not very thick at all. If you feed your cat wet food. Be sure to always stir before serving!

A must for cats with crystals
I have Persian cats who naturally have a lot of crystals. One cat got very sick passing blood in urine. This cat food was the only thing that keeps him healthy. Not bad smelling at all

our fussy cats don't mind this one
Following a recommendation from the vet, we switched to a urinary hairball control diet. Given that our cats would usually rather go hungry than eat food they don't like, we were a bit wary. But our cats eat this one, they don't go nuts like they do with some others, but they willingly eat it.

High quality product… buy on sale
Bought this because it was like 40% off. I wouldn’t normally buy it for the full price, but I was very happy with the product. My cats don’t need a special diet, but I like to give these once in a while to « maintain » their urinary track. I don’t know if that’s actually a thing, but I like to believe it is! If it’s on sale, totally go for it. If not, in my opinion, wait until it is.
