RugLock saved 5 rugs....
I only received the can a few days ago, but here is my experience with RugLock. (1) My three bathroom runners are 15 years old, sit on a tile floor and were "slipping" in addition to leaving a powdery mess (backing had disintegrated). Before spraying, I washed, line dried and vacuumed the three runners. After applying tape around the edges of all rugs, I then applied a light coating of RugLock and let dry overnight. It's only been a few days, but there is no powdery mess on the floor and the rugs are "locked" in place. (2) Another rug sits in front of an outside doorway in my bedroom on top of wall-to-wall carpeting. For years, this rug has "bunched". Applied a light coating of Ruglock and put the rug down the next day. It hasn't "bunched" and also hasn't left any residual marks on my carpeting. (3) Another small rug sits at my kitchen back door on vinyl flooring. I used up the last of the RugLock can to keep the rug from moving around in this frequently used doorway. I ended up spraying five rugs of varying sizes with one 16 oz can. Although it is early, I am very pleased with the results (no powdery mess, no bunching, no slipping). Buying the spray was certainly cheaper than replacing the five rugs.

Works well, but apply plenty of it!
I had to treat some bathroom rugs on an especially slick tile bathroom floor. RUGLOCK was easy to apply and dried quickly. It's not inexpensive, however, and I fear I was a bit "frugal" with the initial application. Those first results were disappointing, however re-application of the product with a thicker coating, turned out much better with excellent adhesion. Suggest purchasing an "extra" can and coat your rug well! The next question is whether the backing will still hold up after washing the rugs. The "jury" is still "out" on that one!

Very easy to apply
This is an awesome product! I am amazed at just how well it does work! And we did follow the directions to use in a well vented space but, honestly, the fumes from this product are minimal. At first, we just thought we would use it on one problem rug. This was the rug that sits in direct sunlight and the dog uses constantly to go in and out. Its backing had seen better days. We sprayed RugLock on the back and now it stays in place...even if a squirrel is in the back yard! (Imagine a cartoon of a dog spinning their "wheels" to get traction to attack!) And, the little pieces of the original backing that were falling off are now also staying in place. It is literally a new backing. Then we had a rug in a bedroom on hardwood floors and I was always afraid any company would slip and fall, especially my son-in-law who is battling ALS. But now I can feel confident my guests are safe! And those of us with older parents, this is a wonderful product. I have begun spaying the backs of all my parents' rugs because a fall is the last thing they need. We are ordering more to finish all the rugs. And don't be afraid to use this on a bathroom rug. This product is washable and will retain its hold. Yep, I am a fan!

Good idea - Poor product
This stuff sucks! The idea is good, but the instructions offer little advice about how much to apply and a lot of advice on how to mask off the edges. I really don't know if I applied too much or not enough. BTW, I'm a contractor of 30+ years, so I'm pretty good at this sort of work. This stuff sticks to my hardwood floor and leaves pieces of the rug glued to the wood. (I have allowed the rug to dry for a week, so it isn't that it is not dry!) And, the rug is now useless, since I can't remove the sticky backing...

Effective product, but with some reservations.
Since it was my first experience with this product, it was difficult to determine if I was applying too much or too little. Still not sure, but after drying in the sun, the treated rug was brought inside to cool and cure overnight before putting it over a wood floor. As far as the nonslip coating goes, it works! The rug will not budge! Just a bit concerned that it appears to be glued to the floor now. If you lift up a corner, some of the coating transfers to the floor.

This Stuff Works Great
This stuff works great. I followed instructions and no problems. It's great for kitchen mats that tend to slip and slide. After spraying the underside of a kitchen mat and waiting 4 hours the mat sticks solid. This is a rubber/plastic mat on a brick tile floor. Even with grout spacing between the brick tiles it still sticks solid. After pulling the mat up several times it re-sticks with no problem. Rather than wasting the product by over spraying on a drop cloth, I simply flipped a larger carpet over, and used it as a backing when spraying the underside of the kitchen mat. Not only does the kitchen mat no longer slip, but the carpet that I used as a backing no longer slips from just the limited amount of over-spray in the center. Great stuff. I recommend it highly.

Didn't work for my needs
As one other reviewer said, it does stick to the floor. Unfortunately it didn't work for what I needed: the rubber backing is peeling off some otherwise excellent condition throw rugs & I was hoping to use this spray to prevent any more from coming off. Instead, however, the spray stuck to the floor, thus pulling off even more of the rug's original backing.

It actually works
IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I had other rug pads and my rugs still slipped. I googled a rug pad that actually works and came across ruglock! I read the reviews and said what the heck, ill give it a try! I'm so glad I did. Its been about 2 weeks since I applied the product to my rug. The directions say to let it dry indoors but I didn't have a spot so I left it outdoors to dry and it still works. The rug is thick and stays in place perfectly. I have vacuumed, ypung kids and large dogs have ran and jumped on it, ITS STILL IN PLACE! I'm glad I bought this, would definitely reccomend it, and plan to use the rest of my can on other rugs in the house!
