Tom's of Maine Whole Care Natural Fluoride Toothpaste 3 Pack, 4 oz

I'm very sensitive to mint. I literally can't palate standard commercial brand toothpastes. (There are some non-mint flavors out there, but they are not very pleasant either.) Thankfully, Tom's of Maine understands a toothpaste does not need to knock you over the head with the mint. And even more thankfully, they have WINTERMINT. Wintermint, is the only mint (not really mint) that I actually don't mind. I can put a reasonable amount of toothpaste on my brush, and happily brush a full two minutes without gagging or shivering, and my teeth, gums, and taste buds haven't been happier. I've been using this toothpaste for over 20 years and have never looked back. Unfortunately Wintermint is very difficult to still find in stores. Thankfully, Amazon still carries it. I don't know what I'll do if Tom's of Maine stops making it (please don't).

I have an slight reaction to peppermint oil and synthetic mint stuff, so finding toothpaste is tough. This is by far the best I have every tried and I have been using it for years. It is minty, but it's not overpowering. I just wish they made a travel size!

Crest and Colgate contain a known allergen affecting 2 to 7 percent of the population. If you have a Cocamidopropyl betaine allergy you need to know that they are now putting it in toothpaste. I had rashes for the last year from Crest. This ingredient is usually found in soap and shampoo because it causes suds/foam. Now it’s in both of the brands I mentioned. I contacted them and they put the responsibility on me to be sure I read ingredients. But here’s the thing. By FDA regulation, they can use up old packaging that doesn't list the new ingredient. Nice right? Anyway Tom’s is my new choice and my eczema flares are starting to subside.

I love this toothpaste -- literally the only truly wintergreen-flavoured paste with fluoride I've been able to find. My only gripe is that it's terribly expensive -- the tubes are only 4 oz, so you'll go through them pretty quickly even if you're only using them twice a day. I guess it's a sign of how good it is that I keep buying it, despite resenting feeling taken advantage of.

great toothpaste that i have used for years

I love this toothpaste!! I’m not happy that I had to order it on-line because I was unable to locate it in some of the stores that normally carry this flavor. I dislike mint and peppermint and cinnamon options. Wintermint is by far the better flavor. At least I still have the opportunity to purchase it from here, but I would rather go to a store.

Not too sugary like some. Does the job well. The only thing is to shop for good pricing because it can be unreasonable some places. Not so here.

This is our go-to toothpaste. We've been using it for years. Flavor is mild but refreshing. I like that the ingredients are more mindful of the environment and what chemicals we put in our bodies, but also still has fluoride which we think is important for oral care. If it wasn't in a plastic tube, I'd be even happier, but at least they can be recycled through terracycle.
