I am a tech kinda guy so I knew what I was getting when I bought this one. I was sick of the high priced garbage being sold as HD webcams from major players. Over the last 4 years I tried 3 different models from what I thought would be the "logical" place to get a good camera but was PO'd at all of them. I sent the expensive "best" one back within 24 hours. I drilled down hard on the specs that would make me smile and went shopping. I found this one. Oh yeah. It works. I built my own plastic case and lens cap for it and Velcro'd it to the top of my desktop monitor. Cleanest video I have ever seen in a "webcam". The mic is good too. If you find this one with the exact same specs, buy it. BTW.....I may have gotten the last one as I went back the next day to get another one but it was marked as "Out of Stock". Hope not...it really works well....really!

I use this camera as a webcam. Others always comment at how clear my video is now. The autofocus lens works much better than I thought it would. Windows 10 did not need additional drivers.

I needed a better webcam for showing documents during video conferencing. My webcam has good resolution, brightness and contrast, but not a good focal distance. This camera is superior in all respects. The video image is superb. It works well with linux. It automaticaly focuses on my document, down to a few cm (haven't tried closer than that), and now no one complains at all about the image, no matter how small I write. The only issue that I found was that it can have trouble focussing at times when the sun shines through the trees and then the window on my document. The motion seems to confuse it. It would probably be annoying to see something like that without loss of focus, so I just close the shades anyway. Best 'webcam' I have seen.

Great camera for 3D printing. The auto focus works well, even on extreme close ups. Most of the USB cameras are not suitable for mounting inside a 3D printer enclosure, but this one is great. Small in size, fits almost anywhere. The short focal length flexibility of this camera is awesome. Will buy another.

This unit far exceeded my expectations for utilizing the camera/microphone for Zoom sessions. Auto focus is sharp audio pickup is great. I use sticky back foam to attach to the upper portion of monitor. Win 10 recognizes and install instantly. Plus no waiting for out of country shipping.

Bought for automated document scanning in linux through nodejs. Decided to get a more expensive version rather than deal with cheapness. I am using it for taking still images. The auto-focus is a bit noisy, it audibly clicks once when reaches the utmost position (when scanning for the best range). The mic works under linux but it is useless to me. Tried many tests in Ubuntu, works well, no complaints. NodeJS webcam package is able to merge multiple frames automatically into one, giving rather impressive clear results with low light vs a single frame for a still image. If anyone thinks there is a way to hook leds to shine when picture is being taken, not on this board, I searched and seen a reply to someone by the manufacturer claiming that this board has no such ability. My only criticism is the USB cable connection. It is 90 degrees to the board and makes many mountings impossible due to sticking out like a fin. The cable is a bit short, which is a problem when the molex plug makes this cable such a proprietary solution. Decided just to get a USB extension cable rather than solder my own.
