The brass wool, flux, and wick work well, but the solder wire is terrible. I bought this kit for my first soldering experience and after 1 week of trying to solder simple, through hole LEDs and having nothing but issues I was fed up. Solder wouldn’t flow, solder incredibly dull, everything looked like a cold joint. I ran the temp everywhere from 300C to 380C and nothing worked. I couldn’t even get the stuff to wick away to clean and try again. I used several tips, tinned them to the point the stuff was practically dripping off, and still nothing. It wasn’t until I watched a video of good vs bad solder wire that I realized. I grabbed another wheel of solder (lead free) and it worked exactly how I expected it should. Thought maybe it was a fluke and tried another leaded solder. Worked great. Went back to the stuff in this kit and did not work unless I mixed it with some good solder. The solder is garbage (I literally wrote garbage on it to make sure I only use it for an emergency), but rest of the kit is good. If they got good quality solder I would definitely give this 5 stars. Until then I would make sure you have another roll handy.

Came exactly as pictured and described. Really good quality for the price. Material is as expected and super easy to use. Very versatile product. Seems stable and durable, but will know more after multiple uses. Currently using it and it solders a lot better than expected!

I am new to soldering and this was great to introduce flux and de-soldering ribbon as well as providing a more portable tip cleaner. I probably use the tip cleaner 9/10 times compared to the one stuck to my iron base.

The solder wire in this kit is so thin and weak it will just bend when pushing it into the iron tip before melting. Everything else is useable but low quality. Buy these items separately and higher quality brands if you are doing a lot of soldering.

Awesome products, good price. The solder is of course gone it went fast and is of excellent quality. The solder wick us awesome but doesn't work with lead free just an FYI. You can add a drop of lead solder to get it to work though. In combination with a solder sucker it's easy to tackle even the most stubborn solder joints. The iron cleaner is awesome. I put some sticky tack on the bottom and stuck it to my desk. The bottom pulls off to replace the copper mesh which is good mesh I have yet to replace it. The tinning flux is good too. I use it to retin older tips and to dip wire ends into it to get good flow. Overall everything is very satisfactory!

It’s a nice kit .but it’s almost like a sample kit . Not much product

I bought this on my husband's order Hahahaha! for a repair he needed to do on my embroidery machine. He said he wished there would have been an extra Soldering tip cleaner as he used up the only one quickly.

Lost my original soldering supplys. Ended up getting this one with everything included and it did the job very well for a beginner.

Good starter kit but the flux can is almost impossible to open and the solder seems like absolute garbage.

I am so bad with stuff like this, but I just needed the flux, 0.6 solder wire and the cleaner (maybe). Was using it to rewire the speakers on a ds lite which worked perfect for the job. Was able to do 8 wires with no huge mess and didn’t burn my hands. It did the job for a beginner.
