Other worldly microphone; I am over the moon with this purchase. I love the sleek and timeless spherical design. Switching between modes is really simple with the switch located on the rear. Pickup sensitivity is great. I am mainly using this microphone for podcasting, video making, videoconferencing, and recording my voiceover mixtapes (hypnosis scripts, guided meditations, sound therapy, etc.). I am not a vocalist so I can’t speak to the sound quality for singing purposes.This is my new all around favorite microphone! The microphone is well balanced once placed on the mic stand; because it is top heavy, you wouldn’t want the support stand to be too tall to throw off the overall balance.I purchased the bundle that came with a stabilizing half crescent shock mount but I also purchased a separate circular shock mount and carrying/storage case separately that fits perfectly and helps keep everything organized.

When I adjust the stand it is squeaky, but overall best mic for a low price.

Thanks to COVID, my church has had to go online, which includes worship services. Sure, the sound recorded on my phone was OK, but with this Snowball - it's increased in quality and professionalism. If you have an iPhone, be sure to also have a USB/micro converter, as the output on the Snowball is a regular USB. It works very easily - just plug it into your device and record! The snowball doesn't need to be charged and works as your device's microphone seamlessly. It also has a great base that can adapt to most tabletops. I'm grateful we found and purchased this product!
