First time using this and the mode button doesn’t work and won’t select a blend option. Any ideas???

We've had one for ages brilliant for a quick meal but the soup is better if left over night. more tasty that way.. Also bought one for our son he thinks it's great.. He does meals in it to take to work

Can one use it to make Soy milk?

Sorry, I don't know. I only use mine for soups.

1st time using it keeps going off any ideas

It's supposed to do that. It let's the soup settle so you get it cooked evenly

It doesn't come with a cookery book although you do get a few recipes to get you started.
