Likes: Smallest, lite, durable device. Easy to place in any discrete location. TSA does not bat an eye for those who want to use this while traveling. Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) chaos is resolved without affecting its extreme long range performance. The coppers are now going back to older bands (K and X) with more frequency. They buy radar systems that nudge up close to the horrible engineered Honda, Pacifica, BMW, VW, Mercedes, Infiniti, GM, Volvo, Toyota, others BSM systems. IMO Ford and Genesis BSM seem to play better and are better engineered. Only the Radenso figures out what is real, or crappy BSM gear. Also, Infiniti and others laser systems are a mess. Triggering many other brands of radar detectors. So far, no false alerts from laser with Pro M. Pro M is shielded/immune from coppers who like to harass people using the “radar detector detector”. The PRO M also has amazing MRCD/T performance. Most other detectors I have do not support this sneaky system. And if they do, the alerts mean “get out the checkbook” because there is no warning outside range of the LEO systems. The system is updatable (lifetime) online. Updates the speed traps using cameras and low power radar. Also, the firmware which will be updated as new performance capability comes out. This is essential to win the battle of the BSM, and LEO chaos. The range on all frequencies is is amazing. False rejection is the best of all the top tier windshield mounted devices out there (and I own them all). Off angle, over the hill, round the corner sensitivity is tops. The system has the ability for customization. For example, some states do not have radar running in certain bands. Those can be blocked off reducing workload on the system. Geeks like this. Some will say radar detectors who have this ability can alert a couple seconds sooner. Helps with the faint instant on hits far out. However, with the Radenso ProM, I do not use this capability. It works so well, what they recommend out of the factory is what I run. I know it will perform no matter my location. No tweaking needed just because I moved from one county or state to another. Dislikes: None. Recommendations: add more Choice how the alerts are presented visually, audible, and voice. I like it just as it is. But, other hard core users have their preferences. I want to see a “Pro M AD (All direction)” model for the windshield. I do like the 360 degree awareness that a couple other brands make. Radenso has installed systems with this feature. It is very possible to do this. Today, I am ok without this. When coppers are doing their Wolfpack tax extortion attacks, radar and laser from many directions, I like to know where they are relative to my heading. The Pro M is so discrete and small, will be hard to jam a “AD” function in the case. Until you have this in the palm of your hand, the pictures do not do it justice how size efficient it is. One more thing. Some kind of add on model that has BLE, or external audio capability for motor cycles. This is the ideal device to use on a bike. The display is bright in sunlight, so small/lite/durable. We need to support American companies in this day and age. Radenso is a midwest company, with real Americans. I appreciate that. Not run by global investment bankers, or owned off shore.

Let's get the upshot out of the way: This is the best radar detector I have ever used, and I overall I prefer it to my Uniden R3. I am a lifelong radar detector user - OK, I admit it: I am a radar detector nerd. The whole reason I got into this hobby was because I drive fast. My truck isn't a Ferrari, but it cruises just fine at +30PSL and I need a detector that performs, period. To give an idea of my experience, my first radar detector was a Valentine 1. It was a great detector a decade ago (and is still OK), but while I loved the arrows the false alerts eventually started to drive me nuts. In search for a different detector that could do a better job of false alert filtering, I switched to the Escort 9500. I loved how quiet it was with the GPS lockouts, but I could tell that the range wasn't as good as my V1. This really bothered me - it seemed like it wasn't really an upgrade, but rather a tradeoff. When the Escort Max 360 came out, I thought that it offered the best of both worlds so I upgraded eagerly to that. To be honest, I can't believe Escort charges that much for a detector that was riddled with bugs. And good luck reaching anyone on the phone at Escort. In my never ending quest to find the perfect radar detector, I picked up the Uniden R3 a few months ago. Wow - now we are cooking with gas! It was obvious that the Uniden had far superior range to the Escort, and my initial feelings reminded me of how I was in love with the Valentine 1 back in the day. But as I have used it for a few weeks, it has become a little bit frustrating to live with. The biggest problem for me is that while it has GPS lockouts and does a good job with stationary false alerts, I have noticed that every GM, Honda, and Acura set it off. This is frustrating to me, as I really wanted to like the Uniden. But what is the point of a radar detector if it is constantly going off every time I am behind a Honda? Hondas are everywhere! That leads me to the Pro M. The main reason I picked up this detector after reading about it on the forums was because of it's supposed ability to filter out Honda and Acura BSM systems. I was initially skeptical because this is something that no other radar detector (to my knowledge) can currently do, but I figured I could always return it if it didn't work. My first impression when unboxing was, "Wow! This thing is small!" I have seen pictures online of the size, but I was not prepared for how drastically smaller than the R3 and especially the Escort units it was. I didn't even consider this initially when making the purchase, but the small size will make it much easier to hide and is much less annoying when mounted on the window. My next impressions were the only two things I did not like about the detector: the power cord felt a bit cheap, and the buttons are really close together. Also included are suction cups (they seem high quality), a USB cable for updates, and a little card with their phone number and links to the product manuals. In the car, there a few things that stood out to me: 1. The mount is very solid - the detector does not vibrate when moving 2. The display is legible even in bright sunlight 3. The speaker is loud, and I can hear it over my stereo system 4. The range seems excellent - there is a speed sign in my neighborhood that I use as a test point, and it alerts in the same spot as the Uniden does (and both are ahead of the Escort and V1) 5. It does not false alert to Hondas! Let me say that again - the Pro M does not false alert to Hondas! That single point ensures that this detector was a keeper for me. For the first time since all these BSM systems started appearing years ago, I can enjoy a radar detector that has excellent range without being forced to turn off K band. So, is my search for a perfect radar detector over? Sort of. The Pro M is not perfect - I wish it had a better power cord and that the buttons were a little further apart. But with the Pro M, I basically forget that the radar detector is in the car - until it saves me. And that is something that no other radar detector can currently do. And it's something that in my opinion, is kind of the entire point of what a radar detector is supposed to be.

I have owned many radar detectors over the years. Valentine one, escort, beltronics, uniden, Cobra, etc. I always tried to buy the best. My last 2 were a beltronics pro-500 and beltronics RX-65. Great detectors with long range, GPS and great laser detection. Problem was blind spot warning systems. The amount of false alerts turned these high end detectors into paperweights overnight. They falsed so much in the K and KA band, I stopped listening to them. Enter the Radenso Pro M. After much research, I decided to give this new company a shot. Reportedly best mix of blind spot warning system filtering and range. I took a chance and have to say, I am extremely happy with the performance of this detector. I have been running this detector next to my old detectors and cannot find a discernible difference in range, but significant improvement in filtering of false radars. I could never drive next to a Ford, Acura, Oldsmobile, etc without getting K and Ka band false alerts. This new detector has not falsed once. Love it and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade. Great price compared to top of the line escort and beltronic detectors. Only downside are no directional arrows to tell you where radar is coming from. Truly, don't really miss/need them. Wouldd highly recommend this detector especially at it's price point compared to 600-700 escort or beltronic detectors. The picture I submitted shows the Beltronics Pro-500 next to Radenso Pro M driving behind Acura. Pro-500 is falsing on K band while Radenso is not.

This is a high end windshield mounted detector that competes against the very best. Besides good filtering and range, it uses a GPS based system allowing you to manually lock out false alerts. Two features it doesn't have that many enjoy is an arrow system pointing to the direction on the alert and auto GPS lockouts. Which is patented by Escort and auto lock outs false alerts after passing by it repeatedly. Pro M Likes: Small size... really small compared to the competition. Excellent filtering. The only thing on the road giving the Pro M problems is the Mazda CX-5. Its blind spot monitoring system will set the detector off but I think it's just a matter of time before the firmware is upgraded to address the issue. Excellent range. It's not as sensitive as the Uniden R3 but the R3 is so chatty on ka band that I started to ignore it. Not a good thing. Lots of setting customization. Auto-City mode will change sensitivity to your own parameters below a pre defined speed of your own choosing. Pro M Dislikes: At times almost impossible to see screen in bright sunlight. Just not bright enough. Needs to have a time based auto dimming setting. Red light camera alert cannot be auto muted. Every other detector I've tried gives you an announcement and that's it. This one will beep and then chime and there is no way to turn it off in the settings. You can manually mute though. Does not have GPS lockout on the power cord plug. Which is more convenient than holding down a button on top of the detector for 2 seconds. Can't choose your alert tones like the Uniden R3. Not a big deal though because the Pro M chose good ones that don't annoy IMO. I returned the Uniden R3 for this because it gives plenty of range but doesn't drive me nuts with false alerts. To be fair this a minority view as most people love the R3.

My Passport Escort 8500 has been going crazy with false positives due to all the proximity sensors on cars now. There is no way to update its firmware so I shopped around for its replacement. I love the Radenso! It appears to have the same range and detection of the Escort, but without the false positives. In fact, it's VERY quiet. I don't find myself ignoring my radar detector anymore! It will occasionally have a false positive for a car's proximity sensor, but you can easily update the firmware and Radenso is great with releasing updates. It's also so much smaller than other radar detectors. It has a lovely simple design. Looks cooler than other radar detectors too!
