How are these advertised as 100% cotton, but then below it says 83% cotton, 16% nylon, 1% lycra spandex?

Excellent question. And see, Amazon couldn't figure it out either, so they asked me to answer! I've already complained because they weren't what I ordered. When I ordered them it didn't have the 2nd part below giving the true breakdown of fiber content. Shame they can't figure out how to change the "100 % cotton" part. They are NOT 100% cotton.

I find they are well cushioned. I have arthritis in my feet, and I find these socks are perfect, not too heavy and not too light
