nice phone
The phone is nice i've had it for about two weeks and I love it, it did come unlocked. It does what I need it to do...The only con I have is the battery life is very poor. The phone is very responsive and will work with straight talk. I had to cut down my sim card and it works just fine. If you have to set your APN settings you have to set it in two places under the mobile networks. For the APN settings set the Phone APN first and for MMS make your settings under Wap APN and then save I did not delete the old settings just selected the new ones I created and the restarted the phone The form factor is excellent not to small and not too big..... the internet is quick. I did not load a lot of apps from Google, just a task killer, bible and avast... I just wish I could get rid of some of the AT&T blot ware. I had to go to Pantech website and get the PC suite connector so that I could hook up to computer" no big deal"..... Wifi works well, bluetooth is good. It has somethings I wish it could do that but that's with anything you buy.... And the price is nice.6-6-13 update the camera does not have a flash, it takes good pictures, the battery is not the best, I like the different form. I do not use a lot of apps so no problems there. I was in the same situation as you , I was not having luck with phones but this so far so good. It is unlocked with AT&T branding and I use it with Straight talk. I had to cut my sim to the mini to fit and it works flawlessly., it not as intuitive as other phones but I've got use to it. I would not use "BlUTEKUSA" even though it is backed by amazon........

Good relationship. price - quality
Good relationship price - quality. The team is a Swiss Army knife that has everything you need, large screen, 4G lte, gps, bluetooth, wifi, 5 mp camera, android, all for $ 50 or less. Disadvantages: Has little ram memory, the battery is quickly depleted and the volumen sound is very weak

DID NOT LIKE AT ALL
Ok so the phone is alright for the price but as soon as i got it i noticed a lot of things i did not like. With like 3 apps on it it started saying low phone space and it kept force closing out of facebook. I also disliked that you can't take pictures or save them without an SD card. The camera sucks to. If you're looking into buring this phone i reccomend that you don't.

I LOVE this phone - works with Consumer Cellular
I was looking for a replacement for my banged up flip phone. Consumer Cellular had only one real choice and it wasn't free. Not too many flip phones on Amazon either and they were even more not-free. I saw the Pantech and decided it was a pretty good deal for a really light phone user. At $20 less than the entry level smart phone from CC it was a good deal. Got even more off for signing up for a Amazon store card. I didn't really want a smart phone, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. I find myself using it at home, connected to my wifi (no data usage), instead of going to the computer. I use the calendar for appointments, sent pix via email to save me trip home when working on a project. I can read kindle books, use gps navigation and even ring the phone from my computer when I can't find it. And, if I'm lost, GPS will show me where I am, and let me send coordinates if I need someone to pick me up. Phone and Wifi worked great from the get-go but I had a hard time setting up Mobile data to Consumer Cellular. Their advice did not work at all because the setup program doesn't let you edit the ATT internet APN (not CCs fault). Hours of work for nothing. Finally I found Tweakker APN INTERNET MMS a free app and downloaded it. Less than a minute later I was hooked up to mobile data and sending emails. Thank you Tweakker (I never thought I'd say those words). Why doesn't Consumer Cellular tell us this? I like the size and shape. It stays in shallow pants pockets better then my flip phone did, the rubbery back makes it less slippery so I'm not finding it wedged in the side of my favorite chair. Phone service is just fine and the sound quality is better then my flip phone. IT DOES NOT COME WITH AN SD CARD - though on-line reviews will tell you it does. So buy one when you buy the phone - get the 32 g one, it's cheap enough. Your first app from the Play store should be an app mover so you can move apps to the sd card. It takes a micro SIM (which Consumer Cellular will send you for free). This is not an Iphone. But it's not $600 either. I'm very happy with it. Maybe someday I'll be ready for an Iphone, but for now, this is perfect.

Not exactly what I was looking for
This was a good phone. The touch was amazing, the response was quick and it was overall really good. However, the internet capabilities (what I bought it for) was not as I expected. It can only work on certain 3G nextworks. MAJOR FLAW and the reason I returned it was the reception. It would always show full network signal bars but it would not receive certain calls. Callers always complained about having to try several times or had to use other methods. Despite it's good looks, performance and it's build, I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use. (And why else would you want a phone?)

Good the 2nd time - Updated 10/28/14
First off, I ordered this "new" phone and it was certainly used when i got it, scratched screen and scuffed bottom. I can't remember the seller, as the the seller for which Amazon is filling orders has changed a couple times. I obtained an rma the day I got it... But I liked the phone and wanted to give it another try, so I ordered another hoping that it would indeed be new, and it was. The microsd card was taken out, which was a little annoying, but it forced me to buy an 8 gig. I really like the form factor of the phone, very nice build and screen, but as mentioned by others, Pantech did cheap out a little. Onboard storage and ram are very low, which causes issues with apps and I believe most of the problems people have with calls and screen lock up. I don't have a lot of apps, and keep them "killed" so I haven't had any issues so far, and call quality is great. So, if your looking for a top of the line android, with top of the line specs, the Pocket probably isn't for you. But if you want a nice large screen, and aren't app heavy, with added 4g via HSPA+, then i'd recommend it. Another note, I use this with Straight Talk, and after changing the ANPs, very easy with Android, it works great Update - 10/28/14 Well, its been two years and I'm updating my review... And sorry to those that asked questions, I didn't know about that function and my ability to track those comments and questions, but I am now. So, I used this phone for over a year on Straight Talk and then moved on to another phone/service, and put this in my phone drawer. Well not to much later my wife dropped her phone and broke the screen, so we pulled this phone out and popped in an Airvoice Wireless Sim, on their $30 a month unlimited plan, and it worked great. She used it for a while with no issues, though she did complain about its speed, or lack there of. Lots of bloatware and 512mb on Gingerbread 2.3 don't go well together. And last month we moved service again, we're now on Cricket Wireless as they are owned by ATT. But this time I dropped my phone, poor Nokia Lumia, and broke the screen. So once again I pulled the trusty Pocket out of my phone drawer and tossed in the Cricket Sim, no APN changes as its all ATT now, and I was off and running. But having used much faster phones I was getting really frustrated with the pockey pocket, so I rooted it and removed all of the ATT bloatware, and some stuff I will never need, and followed the advice from another reviewer and downloaded Smart Booster and set it to "boost" every 5 minutes, and its much better. And another awesome thing I found out, is that the Tethering & Portable Hotspot option is fully functional. Had to use it while internet was down at my parents. That was a great find, and I'll probably pass it along to my mother to use just because the hotspot function works. So, after 2 years the Pocket works just as it did when I got it, and I'm finding out new things about it. As you can see, we are hard on phones, and the Pocket has barely any signs of use with just a cheap tpu cover and screen protector. Pantech had a good idea with the Pocket, they should have gone all the way with it. And Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, or newer, would make it even better...

Cool Phone at real low price!
This phone is awesome. Is like a mini Tablet, 4"screen diagonal, with a wider screen than most phones its size, 20% wider. The wider screen is nice to read eBooks, browsing the web, instagram and whatsapp look nicer and not crammed. It has a resolution of 800x600 and scale if 4:3 which is great for older TV shows, you can watch 720p videos but you see it like widescreen with the bottom and top bars. Its powerful enough 1GHz Snapdragon processor and RAM is a little bit lower than 500MB, not enough for app nuggets but for simple everyday social, photo, office and some games is great! I got the Unlocked version even though is Att and you can use it for T-Mobile no problem. Just make sure the sim card is installed correctly otherwise it won't read and they will tell you is not unlocked. For $59 you can't go wrong. I highly recommended it for those who don't use your phone as a workhorse.
