They are not individually wrapped however there are about 4 sections of about 25 pouches each that are each vacuum sealed in an airtight foil bag. I find it perfect. I do not to have to open a sachet each time for a cup of tea. When I finish the first bag of about 25 sachets, the next one is sealed and just as fresh.

The ingredients list Cardamon flavor, it doesn't state if it is natural or artificial. If you want leaves buy the loose leaf in the tin rather than the tea bags.
