Amazing point and shoot camera
This little camera from Sony is an awesome imaging device. Though it is sold as a point-and-shoot camera, it has full manual controls over settings. Some interesting facts about this camera are -1. It can shoot even in RAW-only mode.2. Impressive colour reproduction and dynamic range, particularly if one considers its small sensor size.3. Auto-focus system is very quick and accurate .4. Very high burst mode suitable for BIF or sports photography.5. Very handy zoom range for shooting any kind of photography, except wildlife. There are some cons as well. They are1. High ISO performance is not so good.2. Menu navigation for changing settings sometimes can become cumbersome.3. Buttons are too small to find out quickly, though its not a deal breaker.4. Price is a little high. Anything around 60K would have been appropriate.Overall, this pocket camera is good for someone who is starting photography and who travels a lot.

Awesome powerhouse in your pocket!!
Good camera with great picture quality for the size. You get a better picture than iphone 11 but not better than a7 111 but somewhere just below a6400 and a6600 with kit lens.Advantages are tremendous unless you are a professional photographer. If you don't require zoom rx 100 mV would be slightly better for low light. In A nutshell it is for an everyday user who wants a all rounder carry around camera but needs a near dslr quality but better zoom and clarity than smartphone. If your requirements fit the above category you can buy it without second thought.

Good one... but costly
Good camera in terms of auto focus, tracking subject. No other brand come to close when we talk about focusing. It's costly compare to other brands. 24 to 200 zoom range works good. If you have steady hand then this small masterpiece is for you. sony should provide some protector adaptor ring because once the power is on and you are ready to shoot your lens is totally expose to everthing. you again have to invest in separate adaptor ring with some uv filter to protect lens.Amazon you should rethink about your packaging while sending this fragile and expensive product from Calcutta to Mumbai. you just added normal one plastic bag on top of main box. no bubble wrap or air bags.... seriously?? you

Picture is not as per latest mobile trends. Better go with good mobile.
I dislike this camera. This is useless. Mobile Photos are better than this Sony rx100vii pictures. Never recommended. This is just a waste of money. Sizes are pathetic. Pro mobile camera is preferred instead of this Sony camera. Be careful, if you have enough money then can be used as a backup camera with minimum features. It's reviews are awesome but seems useless for me.

Best compact camera for travel photography
Sony Rx100 VII is the best compact camera available today for travel photography.24-200 zoom range give you ample options for different kind of photography.Funtastic for portrait and group photos not only outside but indoors as well.I am very satisfied with sharpness and superb autofocus.I also found colour reproduction is very fine.Couple of things that Sony can improve in proper hand grip and reduce price.. yes it is very expensive and s

Great pricey camera
Great little camera. I don't get great results on auto so I always shoot in manual and the images are great. I haven't worked with any other settings. They come out decent straight out of camera and then edited a little they're fantastic. It's very light weight and easy to carry around. It's very small and easily portable but it's actually almost too small. I have very small hands and even I am worried I will drop it. I will definitely be purchasing an after market grip for if. It is decently easy to operate but I hate that the power button and shutter button are so close. I always accidentally turn it off. I love the pop up viewfinder and the little pop up flash. It's not weather sealed at all so I was too afraid to even use it around any waterfalls. The screen being tiltable is very nice.Overall it's a great camera and I do love it, although I'm not fully convinced it's a good value for the money at around $1,500-1,700. That is a hefty price tag for this old of a camera.

My perfect compact camera.
I love this camera. I had the VI for 7 years. I'd bought it second hand, but then accidentally dropped it while travelling, and the repair cost was 2 thirds of the new price, so i decided to just buy the VII. I'm gonna be a lot more careful from now on! It does everything i need from a compact and more, and the detail it captures is incomparable to other compacts.

Compact powerhouse
First off, it's not a low light champion though passable.Had a RX 100 M3 and this is much better in overall color science , picture sharpness and response.Even at high ISOs around 3200, you can get an usable picture , the grain and noise is well controlled. The lens is sharp throughout the zoom, but especially at 4.0 to 5.0.Battery life is ok , can last a day if you do not shoot 4k videos. And do get a high speed card , the writing speed improves.Impressive dynamic range and color tonality, not very good in dark conditions where an iphone or Google pixel can take better pictures with computational photography.Itching to take it while traveling.Cannot lug around my 7D after buying this.Returned the order for the Canon G5 X Mk 2 , I feel this is an overall better camera.Do not use it as as iphone for shooting, it's far more talented !

I love this camera - HATE the batteries
This camera has had so many online reviews so I thought I would add to them. I have to say, this camera delivers on all of the positive reviews I have read so far. Is it perfect, no, but for someone looking for a great travel option or looking to improve their image quality beyond their phone, this camera does it in spades!I won't go into all the things I love about the camera, image quality, focal length, size, weight are outstanding, however I will share 2 items I hate :-). The batteries suck, but there are a number of off brand batteries out there that work fine and are reasonably priced. They won't last the whole day so make sure you have a couple on standby. The second, is the location of the movie button. Honestly I would like to meet the fellow who thought this was a good idea. The beauty with this camera is the ability to use it with one hand but if you reposition your thumb to hold it firmer, you will press the video button by mistake and start recording, it drives me nuts!Beyond that, the rest of the camera is fantastic and highly recommend it, whether you are new to photography or a seasoned vet, it's a terrific option.
