Propane Tank Gauge Scale

It is as simple as it gets. Accurately lets you know your tanks current level. The downside is that you most likely won’t be able to use it while your tank is inside your grill. Despite the rather obvious limitations, it works. Simple and accurate.

After reading reviews from the gauges that are magnets you slap on the side and then pour hot water over, or the pressure gauges which apparently don't work (and after I remember some tanks did have less pressure than others), then the weight gauge is the only one that should.It was in a clam shell pack that had to be cut open. Just a minor annoyance, but you all know how everyone likes packaging things in those things now. After opening it smelled strongly of oil/grease like it was made in an auto mechanic shop. I kinda like it :). I took it out and knowing that my tank was very nearly empty already, I hooked it on and lifted. Immediately it showed me I had on the low end of 1/4 of a tank left. Loved it.Now I don't know if this is recommended, but I'm considering getting another hook, and hooking it to the side of the grill and just having the tank permanently hang from the gauge. I'm sure there will be a lot of people telling me that is a bad idea but...This was the best price that I was able to find, shipping was fast through FBA, and the packaging was nice and secure. I'll recommend this to anyone who says they need a gauge.

It works nice, but not 100% accurate! Full reading is good! 1/2 tank on guage is off, reads a little more compared with another scale that is very accurate! Have not tried it with tank less then that yet!

Accurate but tank is too heavy for me to lift and read gauge. Requires a second person.

It indicates that there is enough gas to qualify as full without giving the ability to calculate the gas inside. If the were weight numbers on the dial, I could subtract the empty weight of the tank to estimate my consumption weight or verify I wasn't cheated at the refill station.i

Ordered and received this within 2 days with Prime.I took the gauge to the local store where I get my propane tanks filled and they kid was impressed as he had never seen anything like this.I was told that a full tank should weight in at around 18lbs. He tried the gauge and liked it very much as well as I do now. I keep it handy hanging by a hook on the side of my grille now and will use it to check the status of any tank that begins to get a low flame. Although a low flame on high setting should be enough to tell anyone that you are low on gas. I keep 3 tanks on premises that usually last me throughout the year for my grilling needs.
