Works great! Sturdy and hooks easily to any BCD

Surprised at how strong the cord/wire is, yet the piece is lightweight. Has great tension to pull the end back in and the cable isn't large in diameter, just very strong. Comes with a couple of attachments for various ways of securing it to your vest or wrist. Made of high-quality poly. This is excellent for attaching your flashlight to your BCD, instead of to your wrist. I recommend it and am buying another one for my wife.

I bought two of these, one for me & one for the hubby, to keep our gauges close to our bodies when diving. They really are heavy duty, not like the cheap one I had years ago that broke after a few dives. These are really made well, and it does pay to get the heavy duty ones, since some gauges can be heavier, and the cable on it is tougher when you pull on it. I also liked that this one came with two clips: one with a key ring, and one with a leash on it, very handy, and can switch them out, etc.

I love this retractor. It comes with 2 different connectors, so it is versatile. I am using it to hold my backup console (I use vyper air as primary). This retainer held my console tight to BCD, but was easy to retrieve when I wanted to see compass heading. I will be ordering more for my kids. Update: I have ordered several more for scuba diving. All my kids lights and consoles have them attached (as well as mine). They have been used frequently. Most important is that the retraction is still holding even on the heavy primary lights! This retractor is OUTSTANDING. There is no sign of rust either (of course they are rinsed them after every dive).

I previously bought the micro retractor from the same company but it was not nearly strong enough to hold my console. That was no fault of the product--I simply misjudged the weight of my console. I then purchased this one. Works great. Strong enough to hold the console close to my body while allowing me to pull out with an appropriate amount of force when I need to view my air pressure. Generally seems to be good quality but only time and repeated use will allow me to gauge its robustness and reliability.

The product is constructed well and there’s some nice tension in the retractable line .
