Very Nice, Great Customer Service
There are numerous sellers of this item on Amazon. I selected "Sold and Shipped by Amazon" as the seller. The box arrived intact and I was happy to see the box had a previous freight shipping label from Fender's San Bernadino factory to Amazon's Channahon warehouse. 1. OVERALL: This guitar arrived well packed and blemish free. This is a beautifully built and finished guitar. The sunburst and double binding is a great look. The knobs/pots felt fine, and the tuners, bridge and nut were ok as well. A bit of string stretching and string lube and this guitar holds tune pretty well. The guitar comes with very light strings, feels like 9s. Easy to play, however I have a heavy touch and could hear the tuning issues. Swapped to 10s and all good. 2. FRETS: The first thing I checked for was high frets with a fret rocker. Happy to find there were none. 3. SETUP: Out of the box, the relief and action were out of spec but playable. The out of the box set up along with Fender's specifications are shown below. Relief at 8th fret, capo on 1st fret: 0.30 mm New vs 0.203 mm Spec. Action at 12th: 2.25mm New vs 1.6mm Spec. A quick truss rod and bridge adjustment produced the factory spec, that I was happy with, buzz free and no dead frets. It's worth noting that there were no sharp frets out of the box. It's winter and the humidity in my house is very low, in the teens. Within a week, I did feel sharp fret ends. Short term, I plan to keep this in a case with a Boveda humidity pack. I'll likely need to eventually dress the fret ends because I prefer to leave my guitars in stands, out of the case. 4. Finally, the part that is subjective: I love the way this guitar plays and sounds. The neck profile is a bit thinner than I prefer but workable. The sound is classic telecaster. Overall, this is a well built guitar that will need a good setup out of the box. The one thing I didn't like was the shallow input jack. When using a right angle cord, the plug doesn't seat fully. Also a known issue with the constantly loose jack on this style Telecaster jack. The solution is to replace with an Electrosocket jack cup. There are several brands sold, I installed the one from KAISH and am very happy with it. March 31 2025 update: I did end up buying a Stew Mac end file and spent a quick 1/2 hour dressing the fret ends. Nice and smooth now. This guitar does seem to be more susceptible to humidity than my other guitars. Went away for a week traveling, came back to dead frets in the 5th fret area. A quick 1/2 turn to the truss rod to add relief and the issue was resolved. Also snugged up the four neck bolts. Had no similar issues with my other two guitars in the same room. July 2025 Update: 1 mod and 1 repair. Mod: Replaced the stock 42mm nut that was not properly cut. Initially tried a Graphtech PQL-5000-00 42mm nut but it was a touch too shallow and I didn’t want to shim the slot. Opted for the PQL-5010-00 TUSQ XL which required sanding both the depth as well as the length but it was worth it. Repair: Replaced a defective tuner under warranty. Fender was great to deal with and the replacement was easy to install. Final thoughts: Attractive, great sounding guitar with some faults that can be fixed. So what’s the difference between this guitar and a $$$ Fender? Is it the wood, the hardware, the assembly, the finish, or the setup? I think it’s mainly the cheaper (but decent) hardware, the assembly QA and the definitely the setup. If you have the skills or are willing to learn or pay for a proper setup, this is a great buy. I’m very happy with it.

Another home run from Squier's Classic Vibe collection!
I grew up in the 80's and 90's. When I first started playing squier was a decent 1st guitar but nothing that a gigging musician would ever play on stage. In my music circle of friends in high school squier was a brand we kind of made fun of. If you still were playing on your $100 squier you weren't serious about music or good enough to play in a band setting. While this way of thinking is admittedly wrong, arrogant and ridiculous it was our way of thinking about this brand back then. Now in 2021 Squier has completely changed my attitude and feelings towards their guitars and particularly their Classiv Vibe line. I have the 50's butterscotch Tele, the red 50's strat, the red 60's strat and the white 70s strat. I've been wanting this 60s telecaster for some time now. Recently I saw this one sold on Amazon as a used guitar at a discounted price. First off let me say I'll eat my left shoe if this guitar wasn't brand new. I could find zero flaws, scratches, dents, marks of any sort. Still had plastic on pick guard and neck pickup. It's an absolutely beautiful guitar. Excellent neck. Seems to be the same neck profile as the 50s Tele but with a rosewood board. Binding on the body looks great. And i gotta say the pickups actually sound good. I'll still probably replace them with my own (I wind my own Tele pickups) but there's no need to replace them they sound decent. The neck pickup is a bit dark for my tastes and seems to have a bit less overall output than the neck but thats pretty normal. I replaced the nut, installed compensated brass saddles and a roller string tree. The neck needed a bit of relief but a small truss rod adjustment took care of that no problem. No sharp fret edges. Frets look to be finished properly. Could maybe use a polish but completely playable right put of the box. My only real complaint is (this applies to all the classic Vibe guitars I have) it is a very heavy guitar. Other than that I have no real complaints. For maybe $100 more dollars in upgraded parts this thing plays like a dream. I love it! I am totally a squier fan boy now. I would play this guitar on any stage with pride. I know some people will try to sand off the squier headstock logo but not me. Not only is that a fairly difficult job to actually get the logo off it ruins the look and finish of the headstock. I don't get hung up on brands anymore. Plug that baby in and play it like you own it! I can't recommend this instrument enough. If you're on the fence take the leap and buy this killer Tele, you won't regret it!

Above it's price point
This is an incredible guitar at this price. Of course it has the smaller pots and cheaper electronics but you can upgrade them if needed. I would definitely upgrade the strap buttons if you plant on playing live s the have the smaller closer together threads that always strip out. Other than that it was setup great and almost in tune even after being shipped halfway around the world. The factory they are using is very high end with great employees that take pride in their work. Having several decades in the guitar business these remind me of the Fender Japan Squires made years ago with exceptional quality. The first thing I usually do with cheaper guitars is upgrade. I'm not changing anything on this.

It's a good guitar with a few flaws but easy to play (UPDATE!)
First, I do like the guitar. I've wanted to round out my collection with a telecaster but couldn't afford the high price of a traditional Fender. For less than $500, I'm happy. But I do have a few issues with it. Packaging was minimal but arrived undamaged. I recently bought a used guitar through Goodwill that arrived with more serious packaging (double boxed and tons of bubble wrap). The Telecaster was single boxed with cardboard inserts. The neck looked pretty straight right out of the box. I don't have a luthier gauge so just eye-balled it. Frets need some dressing but I'm not cutting my hand or getting serious scratches. The fretboard was pretty dry so I used some fretboard conditioner I purchased locally. I don't actually rely upon the side fret markers to see where my hand is in relation to the fretboard. However, that's a good thing because these markers are the same color as the neck wood, making them harder to see. The pickup switch is, IMHO, mounted a bit too close to the volume control. With the bridge pickup selected, the switch almost touches the volume control. If you need to make a quick pickup selection while playing, it's a bit awkward. The input jack was mounted too low such that an angled cable head would not properly engage the jack. I had to remove the chrome electronics panel to access the jack. I then removed the second nut in order to allow more of the jack to protrude though the opening. The tuners are decent enough and keep the guitar in tune. It came with (I think) 9-42 strings which I haven't changed out. I get a great tone combined with the single coil pickups. The bridge saddles are steel. I've read that brass saddles give a better sound. Most of the chrome (pickups, bridge ash tray, control mount) needed some polishing. This model is made in Indonesia. I would recommend this guitar for beginners and more seasoned players. I only wish it had a whammy bar! UPDATE: I've found the volume pot to be scratchy in some areas and provides a poor volume adjustment. Not sure if the tone pot will have the same issues. I opened the mounting plate and applied some electronic cleaner which did not improve the pots performance. The installed pots are the small diameter ones which I think may be the cheapest. Will look to replace both pots with better components.

This Tele us a 5 Star guitar
This may be the best $500 guitar in the world. It has the straightest neck that I’ve ever seen, spotless finish, perfect intonation. All that was needed was to lower the saddle screws by one and 1/2 turns. The classic vibe has genuine Fender parts, made right alongside the name brands. I have bought a lot of cheap telecasters and although it’s pretty cheap, it is spectacular at the very least. Don’t wait any longer; stop drooling over the pictures and order it. You will not be sorry.

Would buy again in a heartbeat.
So happy with this purchase. Been wanting a Telecaster for a while. Amazing guitar for the price. Glad that I got this one instead of the other Squier offerings. Build quality was great. No defects. Finish is fantastic. Only complaint is the wiring. There are dead spots in the volume knob. Also, the cord plug continues to loosen up on its own. I'll be changing that soon to a 4-way 920D unit to fix both issues. Edit- follow up. Still loving the guitar. Weight is great at 7 pounds, 6 ounces. I'm seeing some fret wear at almost 1.5 years of near daily use. My Sweetwater instructor was very impressed. Told me to never sell it.

amazing Guitar
its a very good quality tele guitar the finishing is good and tenability is stable and even the even the intonation was spot on direct from the package fret work is very very acceptable tuners are good quality the only problem was receiving the guitar with a curved up pickguard and maybe due to hot weather and storage , but it is not a major problem and pickguard can be changed easily

Excelente

Brilliant guitar, very impressed with the build quality right out of the box it's playable, only thing to bear in mind this seller doesn't deliver weekends, so be careful but they were accommodating when it came to explaining the mix up etc so can't fault them

I got an Esquire ( single pickup in the bridge)not a 60s Custom Tele as advertised.
Big fan of this guitar but what I got is an Esquire and not a Custom 60s telecaster But even then I kept it. Why ? Because it's so so good. Amazing neck , finsih and pickups are really good for the price. Great job Fender but you sent me an Esquire lol
