It's effective
It's very effective in removing oil and and cleaning the chimney filters however please be mindful of wearing gloves. I use only 2 spoons so, it's going to last you very long. It's value for money. It doesn't have any smell.

Worked Well!
I bought this to clean the kitchen chimney. Unscrewed the mesh and oil collector and immersed both the items in a tub containing water with 5 teaspoons of castic soda. Kept it for 15 min post which used a tooth brush to clean the oil from the mesh and container. It cleaned everything. Water was thrown away and I repeated the activity once more. After two cycles everything was as new as before.It took me 3 hrs to complete this activity. Precaution taken during cleaning was a face mask and gloves as the solution is itchy and irritating. It may also damage your hands skin if in contact for long time.Giving 4 starts as the quantity required to clean is on the higher side. Rest is all fine.
