Practical Math Success in 20 Minutes a Day

I used this to refresh my math skills for the WEST-B (Washington Educator Skills Test), as it was suggested to my by an admissions advisor. I pretty much knew how to do everything with only having to skim over instructions in some sections but it was GREAT for review. I'm now 100% confident in my math skills for my test! I would suggest this to anyone with some math knowledge who wants to sharpen their skills, especially those preparing for the SAT/ACT or other tests that require basic math.

I first checked this book out from my local library. I used it for an exam I was taking for a job which I passed. This is the best math book I've ever used. There are detailed examples and plenty of practice questions. It was a great refresher! My only gripe is that there are a couple of wrong answers listed at the end of some lessons as well as on some of the examples which can confuse you.

This book is a Godsend, it helped me help my son with his homework. The instructions are clear and examples are very specific. Wish this were around when I was a kid struggling with math.

It’s well written but if you want to access the online portion, their website is completely useless. It means there are a handful of problems to practice in the book and once you’ve finished what little is there, the continued online practice doesn’t exist. So expect to have to pick up further books and online resources to complete your practice.

I love all these books. I am sooo very sad they are out of print :( these have helped me learn math as an adult much faster than when I was in school (grade, HS) Now approaching college and PLAN to buy all of them that I can .. Just for the review.

Using this to get ready for a test at work, so far it’s been helping a ton! Helping me remember and get down everything I didn’t pay attention to in highschool.

This book has been very handy in helping students remember and review basic topics of math that (particularly in a special needs population) can be confusing or lost as a skill if not practiced frequently. I highly recommend it as a book to assist in reviewing skills and helping a student remember and reinforce what has already been learned.

There are problems in some sections in which instructions were not included as to how to solve them in that particular lesson. I've found where those types of problems come up in subsequent lessons which is good because there is instruction but when I first came across the problems I was frustrated because I didn't know how to solve those. I learned how to solve them later on, though.

I love this book. It's my new hobby and sparked what I believe will become a life long enjoyment because of its structure and content.
