Solid harness for my big guy – easy to control, great quality
This tactical harness fits my large dog perfectly. The no-pull design actually works – I have way more control on walks now without choking him. He used to drag me down the street, but this harness redirects him gently and effectively. The adjustable straps made it easy to get a snug fit. He's right in the L range and it fits like it was made for him. The reflective strips are a nice safety touch for evening walks, and the military-style look is just cool. The material feels tough – like it can handle rough terrain and active dogs. The handle on top is super useful for quick control or helping him over obstacles. It's also easy to put on and take off. If you have a strong, active dog, this harness is a great choice. Very happy with this purchase.

Quality stylish harness at a great price!
Five stars. I'd give it six if I could. Look, I've bought cheap harnesses before. Buckles popping open. Straps ripping. My dog sliding out like a greased pig. This one? Not even close. Penny's had it almost a year. Every single day. Full tilt after squirrels and not one buckle failed. Not one strap stretched. Not one stitch gave up. She loves he harness too. The second I pull it she knows its outside time or time to go to the dog park and her tail moves a mile a minute and she prances around! It doesn't rub, chafe, or make her sweat. The padding's thick. The straps breathe. And once I buckle it in they stay right where I put them. No constant readjusting every five seconds. The handle on top? Godsend. Lets me grab her easy if she's about to bolt, or give me a sturdy spot to grab to help her jump into the truck without yanking her collar. I love it has reflective strips so people see her coming from down the street at night. The velcro patches on top come off so you can swap 'em out if you buy different patches online. Purple camo looks sharp too. People ask me all the time where I got it. I just point 'em to Amazon. Got the best dressed dog in the neighborhood. LOL Only thing. Don't let your dog chew the buckles or straps. They're solid. But teeth win every time. I learned the hard way that it only takes a little nibble to weaken a corded leash or a buckle and suddenly you have adog running in circles with the zoomies off of her leash! Keep it up so your dog cant chew it and this thing lasts a long time. It cleans up easy too. I definitely have recommend it to all my friends and family and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

My Dog loves it.
My dog and I love this harness. I tried to cancel this because I needed something right away and went to a pet store and bought one. My dog hated the one from the store. When we tried to put it on him he would run away. He not only doesn't run from the Auroth, he willingly puts his head through the hole and waits for me to clip it. He loves it. I took it off him yesterday. Thought it was bulky he might want a break from it, he took it off the couch and brought it to me to put on him. He legit loves it. Its hard to tell what a dog is thinking, but this seemed pretty clear. Looks good. Works well. Its easy to adjust, easy to put on and take off. Clips are plastic, but heavy duty. It also has velcro strip on it to put name or service dog signs on. Comes with Best Friend signs. Finally it has a clear pocket to put name and address.

Withholds 2 year old Cane Corso Zoomies
Our Cane Corso just turned 2 in January of this year. It has been now a year since we first got this harness and it has held up pretty well! He's a runner so we always have it on him during the day, theres definitely some wear and tear but all in all pretty decent.

A good harness!
Our German shepherd, a hefty 130 pounds, is an 8-year-old senior. He doesn’t require anything extravagant; a simple, reliable walking tool would suffice. We found this product to meet all our needs and offer a reasonable price. It’s incredibly easy to wear, providing complete freedom of movement. Additionally, it enhances safety and control during walks. We highly recommend this product! The color is also great, giving our German shepherd a handsome police dog appearance!

Gorgeous, Easy to Slip on Harness
The Tactical Dog Harness by Auroth is absolutely fantastic for impatient/easily excitable dogs who pull. It is definitely true to size; The large fits snug, but not strangling, around my dog's (~35") ribs at its loosest setting. If your pup's neck and rib measurements fall between two different sizes, I would recommend going with the size matching their rib measurement. The front (atleast on my boy) sits farther back and just before his shoulders, as opposed to higher up on the neckline where a collar would sit. The harness itself is pretty lightweight for its structure. The chest and back pieces are padded for comfort, and seem to be sturdy and well-constructed. There are metal leash attachments on the chest and back, and I like having the option to choose where to put the leash depending on my boy's behavior that day. It has a reflective outline on the chest and back pieces, as well as reflective thread stitched into the straps for extra visibility during evening walks. Overall, this harness is simple and easy to slip on. My boy tends to be a bit impatient when getting ready for his walks, and the whole ordeal goes much faster with this easy-to-maneuver harness. The buckles seem sturdy, and they easily snap into place. I like that it comes with spaces to attach velcro patches on the back, which you can use to display "Service Dog" or "Do not pet" patches should it be necessary. The harness comes with two adorable "Best Friend" patches, but I opted to use a different set. It also has a small contact info card, which slips into a clear pocket on the back piece. I truly believe the shape of the harness plays a significant role in how much you'll feel your dog pull, and I don't have any complaints so far; My Apollo doesn't simply pull forward or jump upward, he lunges/flies toward whatever captures his interest. The tugging has definitely improved since making the switch to this harness. If you happen to have an easily excitable dog who pulls like no tomorrow, attaching the leash to their chest should remedy the situation a bit! I highly recommend this harness to anyone; especially if you have a large, impatient/easily excitable dog who tends to walk you. It's such a well-designed, dashing harness, and I'm so happy I chose this one. **I've included a picture taken with flash of the harness in a dark room to hopefully show how reflective it is, although I'm not sure if it translated well.

Great harness for a Houdini-dog that can escape most anything
First off, the AUROTH Tactical Harness for Large Dogs is a great product. But sizing your dog is important. Our 80 lb., 10-month-old, male black Labrador fits well in an XL, even though his measurements fell within the Large size. Other reviewers have noted that the harness "runs small". Because our dog is still a "puppy" and will grow more, we opted to size up, and very glad we did. The harness has two squeeze type buckles at the sides of the body which are easy to operate and also secure. The vest is adjustable at the neck and the sides. It can be quickly slipped over the dog's head and then buckled at the sides. It is best adjusted OFF the dog, as it takes a little finesse to get all the straps to fit properly, but once it does, it is easy and fast to put on and take off. According to the instructions, leave a 2-finger space between the harness and your dog for comfort. This is the only harness out of several we have tried since our dog was very little that actually stays on him and does NOT rotate once fitted correctly. Also he cannot get his lower jaw into the neck of the harness to try to remove it. We got him used to the harness by using it during "fun" dog times and with rewards. He now associates the vest with "good things" and does not try to escape from it while on a hike, at the dog park, or just going for a relaxed walk. When he was a little guy, putting a vest or harness on him at home to get accustomed to wearing something did not work, but not every dog is the same. Ours is food motivated. He's a Lab, after all. The harness has the added bonus of being able to apply patches via velcro type attachment. Two patches that say "Best Friend" come with the harness. We bought additional dog-appropriate patches on Amazon to put on the harness.

Does not stop pulling
It's an okay harness. The best friend patches on both sides are annoying. They should have came with solid black leather patches to switch out. I put regular black Velcro over it. The handle is weird, it's in the front instead of the bank which is good for control but I'm not used to it at all. Plus if your dog has a lot of hair it's going to be tricky to find when you're hurrying to grab it. The neck area has to be so tight to fit correctly on my lanky dog (50%border collie, 40%German short haired pointer and 10%boykin spaniel mix) and it's such a big and sturdy harness he hates it going over his head now, and anything else now too. The d rings are plastic so if your dog is a heavy duty puller then you better have a back up clip on their collars. The clips are also plastic which isn't that bad but not great either. It's an alright product for the right dog, if you want a tactical looking harness that slips over the dogs head, that has a handle at the base of the dogs neck/shoulder area, with areas for Velcro patches and a front and back d ring then there you go this one is for you. Just adjust it and make sure it fits properly before the return window ends. If your dog is scared to put it on, find something else.. there are thousands of dog harnesses out there and a bunch that have a neck clip and do not go over the head like a t shirt. Oh and don't get it if your dog pulls. If your dog pulls and drags you don't the road instead of going at your pace, this is not the harness for you... If your dog pulls over and over again even after he's choking himself multiple times and gagging, this is not the harness for you. For a dog who pulls you down the road and chokes itself out, get a head /snout harness, (that goes over their face), with a back up clipped to either his collar or a regular harness. I missed my return window but I'll try to give it away to someone.... I hope. I ordered a head harness and also the blue 9 harness that seems to work rather well. When I use that harness I also use a double leash which clips to the front and back d rings. If I'm using the head harness then we are good to go but my dog is just annoyed or uncomfortable... He will get used to it because I just can't be pulled down the road and getting my arm snatched up and rope burn on my hands and legs anymore or he won't go on any walks and I'll put him in the dog park or back yard. He loves his walks though so he deals with it. Hope this helps

Excellent Construction
Appears durable and comfortable for my dog (14kg Maltese). Easy strap adjustment that maintains settings. I recommend including instructions on installing the elastic bungee tie. I wasn't sure the best way to weave through the webbing.

Dog stopped pulling straight away-Good investment for us
Really pleased with this harness. Recently had a three year old Basset join our family. Lovely temperament but she was bad on the lead with a lot of pulling and walking across my path. I was using a semi-link collar which has always worked fine with my other, admittedly much lazier, Bassets. Did our first walk with the harness today with lead attached to the top link, not the one on the chest. She was great. No pulling, nice pace, still some veering into my leg but nowhere near as much as normal. I am really impressed. Saved my back and arm from being dragged and Margo (the basset) is very happy, comfortable and confident. Harness itself is nice and strong, adjusting isn't difficult, slips nicely over her head with no problems and looks good. Expensive but well worth the money.

Looks good and does its job well!
I needed a new harness to fit my rapidly growing puppy Lab Retriever who currently weighs 22.5kgs. My initial order was for this harness in the Large size which was promptly delivered a week ago. However, this proved to be big even at its shortest fitting but would be fine in some few months' time. I decided to keep this one and ordered same in the Medium size.which arrived today. This has proved to almost fit perfectly only requiring a small adjustment on the belly strap. It's a well-built harness that secures both under the front legs as well as the chest. Imo this type of design should always be used especially on larger dogs to prevent the harness from being pulled off when dog is being stubborn or frightened and will not move. The cheaper single chest only fastener type I've been using has pulled off my dog twice and I'm not going there again! Many harnesses are advertised as no-pull types but, imo, there's no such thing. Except for perhaps a little shock-absorption when you dog is pulling hard. This harness is well padded fits nicely with no slipping when on the lead. As far as durability goes only time will tell after many months of use, but thus far, I'm well pleased with my two AUROTH harnesses. And my puppy looks contented too!

Great product
I’ve been using this for a while and it’s still going strong. Keeps the crud and wet of my dogs belly and he’s had no issues with it. The Velcro labels don’t stay on as the lead gets stuck on them and takes them off but not a big deal.

Excellent fit.
I have had umpteen dog harnesses and this one is up there with the best. It's well made and everything seems in the right place. It fits my cocker spaniel like a made-to-measure item.
