It is not accurate, it fluxuate up and down couple pounds. No wonder it's not accurate the scale is made in China. So it's useless, piece of junk. Review: good product poor service - This is a good scale for freight weight. But Item was received missing the power adapter (120VAC to 3VDC). Five phone calls, not answering their on hold message of " we value your phone call, please wait for the next attendant, for 30 minutes. Called the wrong company and they gave me the unpublished phone number to contact Royal directly. They sent me the wrong adapter first then sent the correct adapter. So it took about a month before I could use my scale. I will not do business with them again.

So it's useless, piece of junk

good product poor service

Royal Inexacta nonscale
Save your money. This is the worst scale I have ever used. It switches from weighing items to the tare function on a whim, or shuts off randomly, or items weigh differently depending on the pull of the moon. Please do not give this company any money, I know I won't.

Good scale
I have had this scale for several years and it has worked great for ESTIMATING the weight of packages. It's usually within a pound and I have shipped several hundred packages with none of the problems that others have experienced. One word of caution might be that it doesn't do well <2 pounds- get a postal or kitchen scale for that.

Should have known.....
... when the product was produced by Royal. Thankfully I got this at Costco, so it is going back! What a horrid scale. Actually, it is a joke to even call it a scale. As others said, the numbers bounce around wildly, it doesn't come back to 0 when I remove an item (and that is not due to the tare feature).

Best scale I ever bought
I bought this scale from Sam's Club about 5 years ago. It's been worth every penny. It registers exactly the same values as at the airports. It's one item my friends borrow often from our house when they are packing to travel. Every one who has used it has praised it. I highly recommend it. Note that it is not a bathroom scale. It's sensitive to any movement, no matter how small: your breathing, any muscular contraction, no matter how small.
