Hoot, Owl! (National Geographic Kids Readers, Pre-Reader)

We did a project on owls; this book was very helpful, graphic, & full of information.

These are perfect for beginning reading animal lovers! We purchased many nat geo kids levels 1, 2, and 3 for content, but purchasing the pre-readers now as my boys are beginning to sound out words!

My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

Great photos. Perfect for Toddlers to 1st grade.

My 21 month old loves owls and since we have a number of storybooks about owls I was looking for a nonfiction book to show her real owls. I took a star off because, though it is a great book, it is only about snowy owls and this was not reflected in the product description. If it was, I would have passed on this book to find one with pictures of a variety of different owls. It's still a great book about the snowy owl for young kids, but not what I was looking for.

My student loved it and carry's it around. It comes as it is described.
