A highly professional team of pickpockets (James Coburn, Michael Sarrazin, Trish Van Devere and a scene-stealing Walter Pidgeon) roam through varying cityscapes in the U.S. and Canada, preying--with disturbing charm--upon the innocent. Review: Old movie good one. - Old movie, But a good one. Seen it in the movie theater years ago. It was hard to find Review: Two thumbs up...way up. - I found this movie to be quite entertaining to say the least. James Coburn was wonderful as always (it was my first time seeing him play sort of an "un-likable dark character", although I am used to seeing him in shady character roles). What really got my attention were not the "pick-pocket" scenes, which were btw fun to watch, and on top of it, where crafted by the actors really well, but it was the plot that kept me guessing till the very end...and what an end it is!!! Canadian viewers will be happy to know that most of this film was shot in their homeland.

Harry in Your Pocket - Good Movie /Weak Blu-ray
Blu-ray format implies excellent video and extras like adjusting setting. You cannot activate subtitles and closed captions are not available. So why even waste buying a Blu-ray when the VHS version of years ago will give you the same. This is strictly the movie. Zilch on any extras.

Enjoyable film, great score/soundtrack, solid DVD-R!
I finally bought this DVD-R "Made on Demand" by Amazon, brand-new, and viewed it last night. The quality was surprisingly good on my HD TV, and it was fully 16x9 anamorphic widescreen. It probably looks beautiful on an older tube/CRT-type TV. The sound was excellent and I'd forgotten how much I like the score--great music by Lalo Schifrin, as I recall! This movie is good, not great, was not quite as terrific as I had remembered (saw it on TV in 1973 or 1974), and was very much like an ABC "Movie of the Week" from that time-- 1973. Though I think it was theater-released first. It's tame, as to excitement or action, compared to a film today, but had an early 1970s charm that I liked very much, with far better acting than you see now. And fine character development through good dialog. I prefer 1970s movies, to generalize, over those of any other decade. All four of the lead actors are quite appealing, it's interesting, also set in several different, pretty locations in the US and Canada, and I'm very glad I bought this. One complaint: the ending is sort of abrupt. Also uninteresting. And leaving the viewer wanting more, not because the ending was great, but because it was lacking. It came up quickly out of nowhere and leaves one little-stimulated to think further about the film.

Five stars !!!!!
I remember seeing this flick in the early '70's at the movie house. I recall walking out of there with my hand in my back pocket protecting my wallet. If you haven't seen this movie and you're a james Coburn fan, buy it!! Hope this helps you decide, Ted

good delving into criminal methodology
I liked the film because it stars James Coburn, who's one of my favourites, plus the fact that it approaches the subject intelligently, rather than going for cheap thrills or far-fetched scenarios. The scenery , especially of the Pacific Northwest was an asset, though I've never been to Utah. Good acting by ensemble also makes it enjoyable for fans of the cast or genre:-)

The release is a region free bootleg copy. Although the disc is a burned copy, everything else is properly made with a printed insert etc. Quality of the movie is great, audio is decent, no copyright owners mentioned anywhere. This seems to be quite common in Spain, so beware if you are after a original release.
